JL mopar snorkel sightings????

Anyone actually have one yet or seen a JL/JLU on the road with the Mopar snorkel. I’ve had the snorkel on order since mid June and have watched (even before ordering it) the release date constantly get pushed back...

I haven’t but I am interested I wish it would replace the tune to the throttle body as well. the 3.6 sounds so much better without all those silencers

Was told by parts yesterday Mopar has canceled production (not delayed). He called directly since it was originally back ordered.

Hauk off-road expedition series is out of your looking for another option.

I saw a comment that said 8221530 would be changed to 82215350AB and will be available after Sept 20. Maybe that's why they cancelled it... My pre order of quadratec was cancelled

My dealer told me the same thing, new part number you listed.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I’ll let my aftermarket guys know to look for the new part number and will keep fingers crossed Sept release date holds true. Re: engine sound- I’m installing an aFe rock crawler exhaust Friday and am very eager to see how the snorkel enhances its sound.

I’ve looked at the Hauk and have an email out to ARB to ask if they have one coming out soon. Will update the forum once I hear from them.

Not crazy about the Hauk. AEV makes snorkels, non out for the JL. You may want to try them also.

Not crazy about the Hauk. AEV makes snorkels, non out for the JL. You may want to try them also.

The nice part of the Hauk is that you don't have to cut a hole in your hood. But would the water that crashes over the hood be a danger to this one?

I gotta wonder if they're redesigning the bottom of the snorkel as it goes into the airbox to be larger. It never made sense that the snorkel seemed to narrow quite a bit when it approached the hood instead of getting wider like on AEV's JK model that pipes as much air into the box as possible.

Hopefully they Chang the part that goes to the throttle body and get rid of all the silencers
