Grab a deuce and a half if you want to do water fording.

There's been a fair bit of confusion over the snorkel. The Mopar guy at the LA Auto Show made it very clear you could have it installed as a factory option (or a dealer, or do it yourself) but no one seems to know how to get it done at the factory.
I just received a response from Jasmine @JeepCares today. We have been trying to find info on when the factory installation of JPP options will begin. No one knows on her end so I would assume not this model year. FCA has also announced their intent to make the same service available for the 2019 Ram 1500. We’ll see?

don't do it...they are ugly as heck! Most people that have them don't even use them
Ask the off roaders in Australia, and they'll tell you a snorkel is about WAY more than fording...They have been proven to provide cleaner air when on dusty trails, and there are types you can get air filters for them...Also, you can run RAM-type snorkels or Vortex-type snorkels...However, if all you are running is paved road 95%+, then it would probably be a waste of money.
