It's an absolute game changer for the incredibly technical stuff I do at work. Trusting what it says about stuff like this, seemingly without verifying any of it, however...
Yea if you train it on something extremely specific machine learning is pretty good .... just like it has always been. Now its just being labeled as "ai" and shoved into everything while making a handful of companies and people obscene amounts of money at the expense of the consumer.

You're likely using a targeted AI program for analyzing that's been programed to use math based parameters, not gather it's "facts" from the internet.

AI Inquiry= Now we're asking robots to churn out bullshit speculation rather than having rookie journalists do it for some reason.
my favorite is our own baseless speculation…

There have been boatloads of videos showing how AI's ability to grasp math can be pretty damn horrific.

One of the systems I've designed has nearly 100k lines of code. Models like Claude Sonnet or Opus can basically "understand" it in a few minutes, then potentially share that understanding with other developers by writing docs (which most programmers absolutely abhor), find and fix bugs, or implement new features.

I find myself doing less initial coding and instead kicking off agents and surfing shit like these forums while it churns away in the background. Then it's iterative as "we" work through different approaches.

I asked AI if it was a credible source for information on what the details of the 2029 Jeep Wrangler would be. Here’s your answer.

You don’t need to read very far. But if you’re curious AI is quick to admit its flaws. Why people on the forum use it as a source or in many casss to appear smart is baffling.

Short answer: Absolutely not.

If you ask an AI for precise, factual specs, trim levels, or mechanical details regarding a 2029 model, you are almost guaranteed to get back a mix of hallucinated guesswork, internet rumors, and recycled specs from current generation models.

Three massive factors destroy AI credibility when it comes to a future vehicle release:

1. The Fact-Vacuum (No Data Exists Yet)
Automakers guard their future vehicle specs with extreme secrecy. Right now, concrete, finalized engineering details for a 2029 vehicle don't exist in the public domain. Because AI models cannot predict the future or spy on Stellantis' internal design files, they have no actual factual source material to draw from.

2. Hallucination and "Model Year Confusion"
When you force an AI to answer a question about a vehicle that hasn't been built or fully revealed, it won't just say "I don't know." Instead, it will look at patterns from the past. It will take features from current Wranglers, sprinkle in speculative rumors from automotive forums, mix it with general auto industry trends (like electrification percentages), and present it with complete confidence. It might tell you exactly what engine options, axle ratios, or dashboard screens a 2029 Rubicon will have—but it's entirely fabricated.

3. Aggregating Rumors as Truth
AI models learn by scraping the web. If a dozen automotive blogs publish clickbait prediction articles about what the next-generation Wrangler might look like, the AI will digest those theories and spit them back to you as though they are established facts.

The Golden Rule for Future Vehicles: The only credible sources for a future model year are official Stellantis press releases, verified spy photos from automotive journalists, or direct statements from Jeep executives. Anything an AI gives you right now regarding a 2029 Wrangler is strictly science fiction

I clicked on a few of the links and it's referencing articles from 2022. Seriously?
So what has changed since 2022.

Here’s one. The pic of a former much higher ranking policy making CEO cannot be posted.

Forget AI. All we have to do is look at the current automotive trends. Take the Bronco for example, atrocious engine bay with the intent to discourage any DIY mechanics from diving in. The 4Runner and Tacoma only give us a turbo 4-cylinder or mated to a hybrid powertrain. Even 8 cylinder options are hindered by cylinder deactivation.

“They” are moving us slowly into EVs and hybrid options only. The real question is whether Stellantis will offer an IFS Wrangler.

The Bestop E-top to replace SOT would be the biggest upgrade IMO.
Good point. Why have nearly the entire top open / close at the touch of a button when you can have a mere sliver that requires you to stop?

Q-1 , out of the 1912 Chargers sold 240 were electric, 175 Wagoneer S sold.. The added gas T-6 therefore 1672 Charger sales. ……. 2012 - 2023 Q-1 Charger sales were over 20,000 all but 1 year…… of course for a true comparison Challenger sales should be added since it replaces both.
