I was just informed that the 4 Hr guesstimate was Wrong ! the entire top had to be taken off (without screwing something else up ?) to install the plastic crossbars, new estimate ~10 hours labor. OK, only the $100 deductible This Time. It will be warrantied for another ~ 3 1/2 years. The next time a plastic bar breaks for no apparent reason ?

While I’m glad yours still operates the manual recommends against that which is why I said what I said. I’ll be avoiding any automatic machines. Lucky i enjoy washing my Jeep by had.
We’re looking at removing, some disassemble/reassemble, reinstall. That’s what I know so far. I do know had I known these facts I would have thought long and hard before getting it. The selling point for me was the convenience with the removable side windows.
