Adding on to my experience with Flashcal...

Not sure if it is a coincidence but when I "Disable" Start/Stop (which did not work BTW, probably because you need to do the hood sensor also) anyway when I had it disabled, I noticed my remote start would not work. I would hit the button twice like I always did and the Jeep would beep once and that is it. When I "Enabled" Start/Stop again with the Flashcal, the remote start started working again.

Could just be a coincidence like I said...
I don't know.
I know the hood switch that is suppose to be disconnected is tied into the remote start function, did you try with hood switch disconnected?

I believe remote start uses the other hood plunger, not the one that you disconnect to disable ESS.

Flashcal must be interfering somehow based on @Dadawada 's post. I pm'd Dadawada my thoughts on issues, this and other's and suggested a very viable solution..

Your right It does - but the instructions for the flashcal show disconnecting the left hood switch (switch 1) so it may be something in the program that allows remote start and ESS disable to work by disconnecting this hood switch.

Only way to find out since I don’t have remote start would be disable ESS on flashcal, disconnect switch 1 (or whichever the correct order is) cycle through a quick run down the road, turn off and see if remote start works.

Should follow all the steps before trying to troubleshooting something that may be working but since the hood switch wasn’t disconnected we really don’t know.

Actually it says either switch can be disconnected - if that’s the case I would try switch 2, furthest to the right when looking under hood. @Dadawada

I would try buying the Tazer, but I like simple solutions.

Installed mine today with help from @TTEChris and ESS is shut off by default along with traction control, turned traction control back on but I’m so glad ESS is of and it turns off so fast after startup, also made changes to other stuff

@TTEChris was my local support and @Rhinebeck01 went out of his way to be my long distance support on the Taser as he answered all my stupid questions more than once and Chris here in Houston is so laid back and really knows Jeeps, heck I even got to see first hand of his new set up he’s working on
