If the OP was interested in a reasonable discount, (AKA the cost of repair) then sure. But, his two options he was considering were replace the windshield, or replace the Jeep. I don't see either of those as unreasonable.
Just quit while you're ahead, dude. He's pretty much trolling at this point.

Oh I know, he does this in every thread on this forum. I've just got time to burn before I have to go back to work.

Get new one. Wont the repair show up on car fax and make the resale suffer?
shows up at maintnence, not as an accident. nothing that would hurt resale or trade value.

Do you seriously have no idea how an assembly line works. different parts can be painted weeks even months apart. the paint will match no matter what vehicle. These thing are designed to be put together quickly, parts will line as they were intended to put together. they are not custom made.
No, no, obviously they are all custom painted one at a time by Shorty from Iron Resurrection (at least according to what I'm reading from some folks in this thread.). Works of art, they are, hand crafted and never two the same!

How can one tell if one has the noise canceling (ANC) or not? I heard they didnt end up putting it in the JL at all.

THEY didn't damage his jeep. The transport company did. Why would the dealership eat that cost?
In the eyes of the customer the dealer is responsible for that damage.

What does responsible mean? It means they are ultimately responsible for making it right. You wouldn’t expect the dealer to tell the customer to work with the shipping company would you? What does making it right mean? It means whatever the customer prefers, fixing it, swapping it, getting rid of it (ordering another one) or just plain walking away from the deal and getting their deposit back in full.

Either way if not for the current customer for the next the dealer is responsible for ensuring the damage is handled by the shipping company in a timely manner.

Sure, but it doesn't mean giving the customer an exorbitant discount.

It does require I get an exorbitant discount if I am the aggrieved customer . Besides , how do we know that the dealer or the manufacturing company didn't cause the damage ? Why blame it on the transportation company ? Dealers cause a lot of damage .

I don’t understand. You have said on multiple occasions that you don’t have a JL and will not be getting one; yet, you hijack more threads than not with ridiculous “demands” and your endless knowledge. Given that you don’t have a JL and don’t plan to get one, isn’t there a JK forum somewhere you can bless with your comments?
