Mine goes quiet when the signal is blocked while driving yeah. Trees overpasses etc. Not sure if that’s what you’re experiencing though, if your overhead is clear & still does it?
Not sure, will see
Normal in an area with poor sat signal. I get it in heavy tree cover areas near me
thanks guys, that’s it!

Good morning all! Does anyone happen to know what this piece goes to? The kids found it in the back yesterday while we were riding around. I have looked and looked and can’t figure it out. Looks like it is a right side to something... Maybe... I have searched the internet of all the numbers on it and nothing comes up. I’m hoping someone here can help me out.

Catherine, I figured it out! I found the same part on mine actually loose. Check your passenger side seat belt where it bolts to the lower frame. Yours might be missing. Here are my pictures as proof.

OK! The sun’s out, and my windows are now stored in my new MOPAR bag and stuffed in the trunk.
  • The bag’s design is fantastic. I got my bag for free (thank you, Nicole!), but I’d happily pay for it because it’s perfect. I know there’s a mom and pop outfit making custom bags, but I’d be shocked if the side windows fit in it as nicely as they do in the MOPAR offering
  • It’s a very tight fit in the trunk. You have to sorta fold the sides a bit, and only time will tell if that creates creases. I don’t think it will, but if it does the hot sun ought to sort them
  • Getting the top all the way down is extremely tight. I ended up folding my back seat forward ever so slightly, locking down the top, and then locking the back seat upright. The plastic corners of the side windows are sandwiched between the back seat and the top’s support bar. It doesn’t feel so tight that it’s going to be a problem, though. I’m sure it all fits more easily in a JLU.
  • I use Velcro straps to keep my top snugly in the down position. I feel this removes play and will prevent friction between the window bag and the top. Also, it looks better and I'm anal. :)

Looks great, is the part number for the two door bag the same? If not, do you have it? Quadratec site says P#68358392AB is for the Unlimited.

68358392AB is what I have. If there’s a 2dr specific one, I’m not sure what would be different. The back window (maybe all 3?) is the same size, I’d imagine.

My guess is the Quadratec description is just wrong.

Thanks for confirming that. It wouldn’t be the first time the description is wrong. As long as it fits that’s good enough for me.

Radio question: never had Sirius before. Is it normal to go silent for 1-2 seconds at times? Is this satellite issue, or should I take it to the dealer? I’m ok if this is expected, just don’t want to overlook something that needs fixing.
Mine goes out all the time as I am in a rural area with a lot of overhead trees. Just the way it is. I can only get a few FM stations too, and even fewer with the stubby antennae.
Her first time nekkid! What a hoot to drive like this!

Found some really nice 48" bungee cords at Home Depot today to keep my top from bouncing around in the wind for 5 bucks each!

I'm expecting some velcro straps tomorrow to see how they work out. Wrap the bundle tight to itself. Your idea looks kinda kewl too. The straps that come with the Jeep just don't seem to cut it.

I was using velcro too but the whole assembly would still "bounce." So, I thought I'd try this way for a while. Seems to work really well so far and the 48 inches is just the right amount of tension. Plus, one can always use an extra set of bungee cords! Lol!
The velcro straps that we got with our Jeep are just for sun-rider mode. They work well at keeping the top from boppin' around at high speeds or in high winds.
