I live in a city that has banned American liquor 😂

Last time I check a patio isn't a mode of transportation, and there is absolutely zero need to install bicycle rental on roads, especially roads that is an already congested, the sole purpose of these schemes is to block the lanes.

Most of this stuff doesn't affect me since I mostly ride or skateboard around the city.

This isn't about playing victim, this is proof as to what is at play.
When you skateboard around the city you're blocking either the sidewalks meant for walking or the roads meant for motoring.
BTW Are you under 25? Anyone older than 25 on a skateboard looks like the grown dufus Tony Hawk. 🤣

Sorry, grown men don't ride skateboards. Now I know who I'm dealing with for reals. :CWL:
Yea today's "grown men" have been told what to do and keep quiet 😂

Nothing is funnier than being stuck in gridlock, I'll pull over park, grab my skateboard go do whatever I have to do, on my way back I see the same vehicles still stuck in traffic.

https://www.energy.ca.gov/data-repo...arket/california-oil-refinery-cost-disclosure Is one quick source.

https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=63447 gives you some reference data.

The EIA's search function is currently broken making it hard to find the specific data that I have read in the past showing regional refinery margins, so I will ask some friends in B&D at one of the major refineries to give me some data they can publicly share, but the difference in margin is considerable and more than one of them is the kind who prefers to "toe the line" politically...
OK, thanks.
Wish the first link provide the same metric for outside of CA. The other link does not compare with other big petroleum state like TX.

I'm asking because usually corporate will be ok with anything as long as it does not affect their bottom line. Quick overview are usually transport, salary, installation cost / local taxation.
As per my knowledge CA is not a cheap labor state therefore I do not think it come from the labor force. Maybe from the installation, old and payed for, this will certainly give a margin. Other margin affecting options is: CA does extract a lot of petrol therefore transport maybe lower, from CA to CA, but when I look at retail price cost CA VS FL, who does not have any refinery or extract oil transport cost does not look to be for a good margin.

dufus is really the people stuck in their vehicles because they voted for patios and bicycle rentals to block the lane.

I board on the crack between the patio and vehicles, no one is getting blocked by me.

And if I was stuck in the Wrangler in gridlock, would I not be blocking them just the same?

EV is only part of the over all scheme, they hope people cannot connect the dots.

Some other schemes involve removing lanes, blocking roads etc

Here are a few examples, converting lanes to bike lanes, blocking roads with patios, this is a streetcar route, which means now cars, streetcars, buses, bicycles etc all share one congested lane.

Note the no stopping rush hour sign.

It gets even more comical, block a lane on a major route with bicycle rental
1000024698.jpg

Oh look, the government is even ticketing people for stopping in the right lane of the same route that they blocked with bicycle rental and patios

Ho the fabulous war on car. Only thing I can say is move out of there and move far enough that the GTA tax will not reach you :)

Your post (with pics), is absolutely correct! I just spent 5 days in London, and those pictures could very well have been taken there. And everything you said aligns with stories/complaints I got from conversations with at least five cab drivers. There, they are tearing up streets all over, removing lanes, prioritizing cyclists (in a predominantly cold/rainy city! Brilliant! 😆) The busses are getting squeezed, the cab drivers, and private car owners. And it's biting them in the ass!
All in the name of "Progress".

The answer obviously is to buy a skateboard, are you not paying attention?

There is a lot public government owned space around there, that the government run bike rental does not need to be on the actual surface of the road.

Factor in that they have no stopping signs, and they are ticketing people stopping there, means this is purely malicious behaviour by the government.

No stopping = GTFO. I'm laying on my horn and using words in many languages when someone stops in a lane of travel.

Hold on folks... a skateboarding Canadian knows what's best for everyone.

I heard all the bike rentals are owned by a secret cabal of foreign globalists purposely to piss you off.
BTW Does your Mom and Dad know you are cruising around the city on your skateboard or do they think you're at your friends house playing Fortnite?

So who are you going to be honking at the bicycle stand that is permanently blocking the lane, or the patio of drunk people?

The stop signs is purely malicious to issue meaningless tickets.

Once again here is the picture, the government is ticketing the person stopped in front of a patio that is constructed on the road, there is a space beyond the patio for cars to turn onto a side street, then the bicycle rental, this lane is completely blocked to through traffic.

Easy solution: Ignore CARB and do what you want. If CARB pushes back take it to court and watch CARB get struck down at the federal level. I'm sure trump would love a case like that making it to the supreme court's docket.

They will want to avoid that precedent at all cost and will concede way before it gets to that point. They can bolster all they want about ignoring the executive branch for it being illegal, but it becomes very legal once the court backs it. They would much rather neuter the CARB for the time being and wait until the next term cycle to roll it back in.

The two EVS we have on the market are absolute trash. EVs in general don't make much of a profit, and are very hard to sell without subsides. Once the 7500 rebate is axed this year the sales will plummet unless California uses even more taxpayer dollars to make up the gap. Newsom is just sniffing raw copium at this point.
