Easy solution: Spinoff the Jeep division, take it public, and screw the rest of the European crap.
And Dodge, I read the Charger Daytona EV production stopped with less than 2000 total sales. Total- not just Ca. How many ICE can they sell here, a couple handfuls and conform with the percentages ?

Not sure about that. New law, makes the deal and special Cali EV requirements, OBE.

California is forcing buyers into EV's and Stellantis may become a prime supplier if they can get going.

Yeah, spin-off Jeep back to a US owner and continue the legacy of off-roading.

A little further research found a couple others saying Stella is stuck with the agreement Tavares made.
Car Pro USA. “Remember me saying months ago the Stellantis CEO needed to be fired, well that was true, and that was Before this news came out !”
“Most major automakers are gaining regulatory breathing room following the rollback of California’s latest zero emissions vehicle rules. Stellantis remains locked into one of the toughest compliance tracks in the nation. A 2020 settlement agreement between the automaker and CARB assures the company must meet the state’s phased EV sales targets through at least the 2030 model year “ …………..

If the deal can't be undone, spin off the ICE division.

Even Mercedes-AMG is transitioning away from the four-cylinder plug-in hybrid powertrain.and back towards the inline-six and V-8 powertrains. See https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a65209199/mercedes-amg-drop-four-cylinder-hybrid/
I think they should spin off the N American CDJR division and put Kuniskis in charge. The interviews with him strongly indicate he gets it. ie- “America’s love freedom of choice, you take their choice away and say you must take this they revolt you’ve taken my flag away f*** you !”
from memory but very close

I read that too. There's no way they were going to convince any true performance buyer that the silly speaker and other fake engine "noises" were going to emulate and/or replace the Hemi sounds. It seems like a feeble attempt to get whatever is left of the groups of people who jumped at the EV thing early on to buy a "muscle" car 😅

I've been patiently waiting to see what Dodge is going to do with the Charger and the supposed Hemi revival.

The thing looks ungainly huge though...bigger than the previous Charger or Challenger (I think 8 inches longer overall length?) It's almost a throwback to the classic Charger and Barracuda, but that's another conversation lol

I read somewhere recently that cali is considering getting rid of their special gas blends and using the blends from the western regions of the US.

Two refineries have announced plans to leave the state because of all the ridiculous regulations and special blends. The politicians are worried about losing their grip on power, so they are scrambling for a workable solution.

If that’s the case, they may dump this agreement too if Stellantis threatens to leave the market for a couple of years.

With all the new regs and carbon taxes Phillips 66 has announced shutting down their refinery and bailing out of Ca. ….. the powers that be in Sacramento are likely smiling  :like: Haven’t heard- what’s the second one ?

They should call it some fancy name like "Vibrattoria mode"...it would fit with that hilarious "Fratzonic" name and badging on the speaker under the bumper 🤪

The thing has so much tech in it, it's an insult to even call it a Charger anymore other than it being a damned pun for EVs 😅

Ain’t ya heard ? The few Charger Daytona’s sold have been recalled. Alas- the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust is quitting working. Tragic indeed ! :CWL:
without it they don’t meet the minimum EV noise level. 😎
