In my day to day life it's noise and the stink of exhausts, the oil that litters the trails you guys ride on that matters to me.
EV's are in their infancy, but there are people behind the curtain who want to kill the tech before their stock and interests implode.
I love my V6 but I'm gonna be dead in twenty years and really only looking for the future not my own interests.

This is a out of sight out of mind thing in regard to EV pollution. I'm sure the cobalt miner and china agree with you that EV are clean

ICE engines are only about 50% efficient, even in their current "high efficiency" state. The rest of the energy is lost to friction/noise/heat.

But hey, if you want to throw half your money spent on gasoline for propulsion into the atmosphere, go ahead. And that's not even accounting for the losses getting to retail gasoline.
