Yeah I removed them for inspection, and sprayed sensor cleaner on the sensors.Did you check where the intake attaches to the turbo?
Did you check your charge pipes? Specifically the post intercooler charge pipe?
I was just thinking if you are hearing a lot more wind noise in the intake and loss of boost from the turbo, that maybe a rubber connecting boot was torn and leaking, or one of the plastic charge pipes is cracked somewhere.Yeah I removed them for inspection, and sprayed sensor cleaner on the sensors.
Im not mechanically inclined, so not sure what im looking for, but nothing seems out of place or damaged.
I was no able to reach map sensor.
Wish I could delete, i just can't find a way around the smog checks here in socal. This kind of reminds me of my brother and I. We both bought our Cummins trucks around the same time. I deleted mine within 7k miles and he thought I was crazy since the engine had a 100k mile warranty. I told him that the only thing he will need warranty on is the emissions equipment.
Now we both have over 100k on our trucks. True enough, he had to take it back to the dealer several times over those 100k miles— all emissions related. The only thing I had to take mine back for was a water pump recall at around 60k. There was nothing wrong with my water pump, but I am not going to turn down a free new one.
Being in California, it appears you have more than that. It states the EGR is covered for 7 years and 70k miles for California vehicles in the link below. You may want to print that and take it in with you.I cleared the codes, and it'll drive different once cleared, but engine light and warning lights come back on within minutes, turbo doesn't work when engine light is on.
Taking it to jeep tomorrow, I hope my 5 year warranty is still in place, got a 2020.
Yeah they said that, but im at 96k miles.Being in California, it appears you have more than that. It states the EGR is covered for 7 years and 70k miles for California vehicles in the link below. You may want to print that and take it in with you.

Well crap. At least I tried. I hope it doesn't cost you too much.Yeah they said that, but im at 96k miles.
Jeep finally called me.
It was the EGR.
Im out of warranty. Won't be cheap.
I sent them a text. Hopefully he responds soon. He said it would only take a day or two to fix, and been almost a week.did you get any detail about the failure mode?
what exactly "failed"? was it a mechanical failure, like the EGR itself cracked?
i know there are multiple ways these things can die; it might be very interesting to ask to have the old parts returned to you so you could see what exactly the problem was. and maybe post pictures for your friends here on the forum,..?![]()
