I hope you're all proud, look at what you have done.

FCA how dare you use "inspired by the original" as a sales tactic when clearly your design choices are "inspired by new age soccer moms and money"

I'm very upset at this new generation of wranglers.

This could have easily been a beefed up Renegade. Instead, FCA made what is arguably the nicest designed Wrangler yet. Also, they didn’t kill the 2 door.. so why complain..?

My one and only complaint would be price hikes, but none of that is confirmed yet so I’ll reserve judgement.

I agree I love the design whole heartedly, I think the changes are great, and they look incredible. The only thing I don't like is the fact that They cant drop a damn diesel motor and a manual transmission into a 2 door.

actually I'm not, I generally like the design changes and almost everything about the new JLs. The only thing I don't like is how they don't offer any of the options I want on the 2 door model. Why can't I get a diesel with a manual transmission, seriously, can anyone answer that with a well constructed answer
Actually that subject has been discussed quite a bit on multiple threads. Of course nobody has a definitive answer as only Jeep can tell us and they haven't chosen to do so at this point . . . but perhaps you should try reading some of the existing threads to get a feel for what some are theorizing?

Do a forum search, this question has been asked and answered more than a dozen times.

So you’re mad beause they added features, but some you can’t combine how you want?
They still added more features which is a good thing, so your complaint is because they didn’t make your specific Wrangler.

I want a Hemi, but I don’t pretend FCA has ruined the brand by not offering one, and blaming ‘soccer moms’ belies the reality that those soccer moms and mall crawlers are the very people/thing that keep any Wrangler whatsoever alive today.

If you were trying to make a point about how they omitted a bunch of options for the 2 door for no reason, then yes I do agree on that front. But I definitely don’t think anything was “ruined,” I just think FCA is trying to upsell people into spending more for an unlimited.

lol don't let the door hit you on the way out

"clearly your design choices are "inspired by new age soccer moms and money""

Design choices inspired by money...yeah, that's how companies work. They exist to make money. To make money, you build things and package them in combinations that will sell enough volume to have a solid ROI.

Guess what isn't going to give a solid ROI? A diesel, manual, 2-door Wrangler. That is a hugely niche vehicle and there are SIGNIFICANT costs (R&D and Federalization) involved with EVERY variation of powertrain and bodystyle. Why would you spend the dollars in the budget to bring a vehicle to market that has such tiny appeal to the masses with an almost certainly poor ROI when you can spend those dollars making the vehicle better for everyone.

Try to understand simple economics of running a car company before you feign outrage next time.

For the record, I'm very proud of what the Jeep team has done with the JL. They understood the market, and delivered on a very very solid product that has gotten plenty of people really excited for the new Wrangler.

No trust me I get it. What I don't understand is if they are going to not offer the options that the serious off roaders want..as niche as they are..then why use the fact that they have gone back to jeeps roots as a sales tactic.. do you get what I'm saying

And shit give me a damn Wrangler without a motor, send the motor in a crate..ill drop it in my damn self if it costs so much. It would be an easy enough task seeing as botth engines clearly can bolt to the same transmission.
(Obviously I'm joking but you get my point)

Sorry to have obviously offended you..clearly you must pick up a lot of groceries in your 4 door...

Also sorry for the poor grammar and autocorrect errors I'm on my phone

So you have to have a 2 Door Diesel with a manual to be a serious off-roader? I guess since this is the first time a diesel has been offered on a Wrangler means that all the past Wrangler owners weren't serious off-roaders. Puhleeze. I would take my JLUR anywhere you want to go with your diesel 2 door, plus some routes you wouldn't want to follow me.

You can thank new age soccer moms and pavement pounding dads. Without them, the Wrangler wouldn't exist at all. As large as enthusiast communities are and we who actually wheel our Jeeps, if we were the only ones buying them, the Wrangler would've died a long time ago.

It's funny you mention the 2-door dying, though. It's sad, but true. However, I may go back. I love my Unlimited JK, but that 2-door red JL Rubi they've been showing off for the past couple weeks is bringing back fond memories of my TJ days.
