People tend to underestimate the off-road capabilities of Sport, Willys and Sahara. Worse, if you plan to lift anyway, the differences to Rubicon become even smaller.

A Sport, Willys or Sahara with a Mopar lift will easily take 35-inch tires, which not only makes Rubicon’s high fenders unnecessary, it gets you an insane 12+ inches of ground clearance. The factory LSD includes a rear D44 and adds further traction on and off-road.

But FCA has us brainwashed that we need a Rubicon. No, we don’t. FCA simply makes a ton more money selling Rubicons, and that’s all they care about.
You do not need to lift the Rubicon, or spend that extra $2000 to fit 35's and get the same 12" ground clearance on the Rubicon. The LSD is not even close to comparable with the locker, and certainly not lockers at both ends. You also get a push button swaybar disconnect. it is by far the best value if you are going to use it off road.

Since the manual doesn't come with a diesel I was comparing the ratios available with a manual which is either 4.10 in the Rubicon or 3.45 in everything else currently. Manual works great with 4.10's not so good with 3.45's. The OP was considering either a Willys diesel, 3.73's but 2.47 t-case or a Rubicon manual V6 4.10s and a 4:1 t-case. Either way the Rubicon is geared lower because of the t-case.
Yeah, I quoted the wrong post. My intended target was a post that you also quoted

Rolling over is the least of their concerns….they can blame drivers for that. Bent and twisted frames….its hard to deny engineering flaws.
A couple of bolt on reinforcements would take care of that. Tuners have been doing this for decades.

100%.
If Jeep offered these, watch the 2 door sales skyrocket.
A 2 door 392 manual trans would be an exceptionally rare bird.
I managed to flip over a Trans Am, I would certainly kill my self in a 392 2 door... Then again I’m older now and actually wear my glasses when I drive; so now I understand why my passenger where always screaming in fear back in the day.

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep - not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Badass! However, manufacturers usually keep safety and longevity in mind. Stuffing a Demon motor in a 2dr by a mom and pop shop doesn’t guarantee your safety or reliability of your Jeep. Lool at Toyota’s BJ70 shorties overseas….their 2dr Diesels have ridiculously reinforced frames.
This proves though that the 2 door can handle that 260hp/442tq diesel.

I'm now considering the 2.0 T automatic Rubicon. I'm ordering a 2022 so I have time to really think about it. Lol..
