Noisey freedom panels.

I live in a small town and the roads are horrible here. We have some pot holes in the road and big turns. When I turn my freedom panels make a clicking noise when I drive over a pothole they click as well. Are there any diagnosis to fix the problem?

That surprises me, mine are dead silent. How often do you remove them?

I treat the rubber seals a couple time a year with 303. Also, snug down the bolts on all of the latches, they can get loose over time. Don’t crank them too hard. Finally, smear a dab of silicone grease on the white locating pins.

If it is a loud clicking that almost sounds like tapping something hard on glass, it is probably the 4 bolts up top (the ones securing the windshield frame in the top corners and near where the visors attach- they are large torx bolts). If it's quieter clicking, i get the same thing from my two freedom top lever things that have the rubber bumpers which press against the windshield frame when you close them(can't remember what they are called right now). It's a little rattle from the lever portion that becomes a little loose after it's closed and rattles

Check the 4 windshield bolts for tightness as they can come loose over time

The lubrication mentioned above will probably do the trick. If not, two other options are:

1) take them off and enjoy the view and sunshine.
2) turn up the radio.

My door seals were making squeaking noise. I used a ceramic wax on the paint side which also did the trick

I do that on the tailgate and rear window seal. Ceramic on the tailgate side and 303 on the rubber. Lasts about a month or two.
