TR/Brad was my first introduction to Jeep videos on YouTube. Initially I liked his content. To a newb like me it was informative and entertaining, stoking the fires of wanting to get out there even when unable to. But eventually, like so many entertainers (and I use that word loosely), TR became stale, repetitive and formulaic – a machine that was built for which coming up with meaningful content became a job - no longer a natural outgrowth of the passion required to begin the effort in the first place. Now when I see an opening featuring the statement, "...I'm so incredibly excited..." accompanied by the trademark waving hands, I just tune out - fully believing that in a few months the opposite of whatever is said now will emerge, just to attract clicks. TR has fallen into and out of love with so many vehicles it has become a tired, inauthentic revolving door lacking sincerity. It's too bad, too. He seems like a good guy.

Someone reported a failure with the new style sensor as well. It's not the silver bullet fix for these lockers.
They also don't work right in the older JLs. I'll go months without a light then all the sudden it will be on every day for a week, then off again. I wanna try a Tazer harness but I always end up finding something more interesting to spend $170 on.

The fuel starvation issue on downhill was new to me, does this happen to pedestrian Wranglers?
What is a "pedestrian" Wrangler?

His videos are informative, well-produced, and nowhere near as annoying as Lite Brite and most of the other crap out there. I couldn't care less about the drama on the associated forum, as we have plenty of our own here too.
It's understood that personalities can change when cameras pivot to keyboards.

I actually interacted with Banned Man briefly, some months ago and via the comment thread in the related YouTube video. I had a question about a particular maintenance task for my Jeep. His replies were timely and courteous to a fault, and fairness demands that I credit him for that. If he's a different person when moderating a forum, then he is and those affected by it have a decision to make.

Now, this site is hardly perfect, but my due diligence [before joining any Jeep forum] determined that it is the best of the lot. My time here thus far has absolutely been a net positive. If or when that would change, then I'll have to decide whether or not to pivot....and life will go on, as it always has.

Fuel starvation in downhill is not nothing new, heck I experienced that in a JK who share the same long fuel tank and pump location design.

You just described most his videos. The guy has gone from seeming pretty genuine in the early videos to a complete tool.
IMO the better more down to earth dude is Autoedits Jason.

Been watching for years from his How-tos to his trip videos. Doesn’t upload often but when he does I can’t help but continue watch cause of his explanations and he’s not digging for likes n

We should help him out and decide for him which engine is better for the replacement Jeep - 2.0 or 3.6

Brad's channel is OK. Hate his voice over narration. For 1000 foot overlook of things it's ok.
Everyone with a JL knows about the locker sensor issue. Regarding that 392, keep in mind that $85k 392 was likely registered to his business. Then depreciated as fast as possible for tax credit. Then sold/traded in for something else. Between resale and tax credit he likely made money on it.

Way Life makes good videos regarding product installation IMO. You dont have to buy the same thing to learn from his videos. Feels heavily sponsored, which most channels are to some degree, he seems more blatant about it.

Lite Brite years ago had some decent stuff. They seem to be look how much money we have and how pretty she is. There's really very little knowledge shared on their channel, it's adventure. Some people can't get over their alternate revenue stream from OnlyFans either.

Ozark Overland man does he talk about a lot of products. I mean a lot. Could fill a Costco with the items he's had on and off their Jeeps. And 4-5 Jeeps in the last couple years.

Casey Ladelle did a great video about how youtube channels can make money.
You neglected to mention that the Ozark Overland guy has purple hair. Shockingly that seems to trigger a lot of people here. There's not as much pearl clutching as when Lite Bright is referenced, but it's still significant.

I like videos where the host/narrator get straight to the point. WAL is good about that. I click away, or click forward in videos where there is 5 min of talking, before they even get to the point. I never come back if the point is never made. Some channels make me wonder how they get so many hits.

Thanks for the link. Really seems to be the opposite of how he comes off on his Youtube channel, so I'll probably keep watching. His videos are informative, well-produced, and nowhere near as annoying as Lite Brite and most of the other crap out there. I couldn't care less about the drama on the associated forum, as we have plenty of our own here too.
He makes excellent videos and is cool to banter with when you're on his good side, but back in the JK days, he'd swiftly ban you from his forum for simply mentioning a brand he didn't like or not being a fan of one he did.

It’s kinda funny to see these online auto influencers. Many, but not all, have adopted the same speaking style, inflections, and cadence. Somewhat like the British car show hosts. And so many of them always pronounce the as thee.
