Anyone else notice that the driver and passenger panels are not in-line? My driver side was maybe 1/4" further forward ( i got that just about in-line with passenger via the bolts above the driver side visor) and it also sits higher than the passenger side. any ideas on how to align the height?

Same here. Mine aren't inline. I just stopped looking at it lol. I went to service my Jeep at a local dealer and I felt so turned off by ever going to a dealership again unless its major so I wont be going for the misalignment of the freedom panels. Let me know if you do!

Can you post pictures of the alignment? Do they leak when it rains? 1/4" seems like a lot and I haven't seen this issue yet
maybe 1/4" is a little exaggerated, maybe somewhere between 1/8" and 1/4". anyways, I think I adjusted the driver side back to where it lines up with passenger side, but there's a noticeable difference in panel height, mainly towards the rear. I'll add pictures tomorrow when light outside. just trying to see if theres a way to raise the rear of the passenger side.

There should be 2 screws right at the main latch on the body side bracket and you can losen those to adjust the targas

Today was a nice day so, I took the panels off and noticed that there are adjusting screws on each metal tab tat the top latches onto. two at front, one at rear for each freedom panel. Played around a bit and got pretty darn close to aligned in all directions. Sorry, no before pictures, but post alignment pics to follow.

Not sure how yours was but this is how mine looks like. Can you take a picture of the adjusting screws when you get the chance?

That looks good! So you only used the forward/rearward adjustment? Or did you use all three simultaneously to get it accurate?

I ended up using all 3, mainly due to my OCD...

Could you elaborate more on where those torque bolts are for the driver side height adjustment (front and back)? Like from the driver seats, the back left or front right. I have a creaking noise that seems to be coming from the angle of the driver side freedom panel I'm trying to fix now

That would be great thanks. It seems like you have to either remove some of the plastic or somehow pull it out of the way to access any of the torx bolts. The torx bolts right near the visor are easy enough to access but those were the only ones I could visually see

Edit: The main reason I am asking is because sometimes I get a plastic noise from the driver's side. I started pushing on all the plastic trim around the driver's side and was finally able to silence the noise by grabbing the freedom panel and pulling downward. I got out and noticed that the rear edge of the driver's freedom panel seemed a bit higher so I thought if I could adjust how it's seated that could provide a stronger downward force on the freedom panel and resolve the noise.
