Don't worry about keeping the thread going though, I will try to fire it back up in about 2 years when my factory tires wear out and I slap on 35s and forget to do a 6th gear relearn, if that was the actual problem.
IIRC, the problem was attributed to shifting out of 6th gear at speed without using the clutch. That thought has never crossed my mind, which may be why I’ve dodged the “6MT issues” bullet to this point . . . knock on wood. Software probably thought it was a 6th gear relearn and didn’t like what it saw.

The bigger tire will take more time to complete a revolution, but the axle will not.

That was Dusty's bait. Wait your turn.
I was just really looking forward to him hitting that one is all. Now I'm just a little sad and disappointed.
Nah, you ruined the moment. Now you understand how wrong you were earlier, and are just pretending you knew all along by throwing out completely irrational tangents.

I know that pulling it out of gear was one of the suspects but I am not 100 percent convinced that caused the fault. I have been pulling out of gear without the clutch with regular frequency for 7000 miles now. I haven't made a conscience effort to try it in 6th. Maybe I'll remember to try intentionally one of these days.

It is all dependent on what hemisphere you are in. I don‘t see anyone addressing this here. Topics on forums swirl down the toilet in different directions due to the Coriolis Effect.
Going uphill, or downhill?

I missed this I guess. I’m glad he’s back. Gotta’ have a little drama around even if I missed it.
The bizarre thing is that he normally seems to be a decent / smart fellow humanoid. I'm guessing he was going through some bad shit, but that's merely speculation.

Because I wanted one, and because fuck autopark. I actually considered the automatic, then got hit with the auto park reminder driving the wife's Jeep and remembered I hated it.

You'll probably be on the 3rd clutch recall by then, because only in a Jeep do tires last longer than clutches and the manual guys are still convinced it's the way to go. A $20 seat belt extender fixes the autopark... what do grenaded pressure plates cost (if they don't Byrne the Jeep to the ground in the process)?
