That’s bad ass! Nice job. I’m supposed to get my set next week. Is the lighting install difficult?
Thanks!

It's not hard at all just time consuming if done right.
Here is the writeup I did on my Wife's a little while back. This time around I made my own harness/connectors. Took the better part of a work day, but I am very anal about wiring and making it look as close to factory as possible.

Thanks bud. And great job on the earlier install instructions. You bring tons of value to this forum. I’m sure we’re all very appreciative!

I’ll be getting my Roam steps delivered Monday and can’t wait to install them!! My question is has anyone changed out the color of lights yet? I’m thinking of Blue since I have an Ocean Blue Rubicon. I’m also probably going to have a professional wire mine in and also would like them wired to one of my auxiliary buttons if possible so I can turn them on anytime.

Check your state laws - not many states allow blue accent lights.

nicely done. I like the red backing for the ROAM logo. How'd you do that?? I am picking up a Black Rubicon tonite and that might be a good look to match into the red detailing (logos etc) of the Rubicon.

Thanks, I still have a long way to go!
Anthony dropped off a set for a customer and I this afternoon. I had to finish installing another customers big brake kit on his JK. After I took a break from this 100 degree weather we are having in Houston I decided I might as well install the steps and document it to make life easier for others that have already received them. Hopefully it helps someone!
I will be installing another set with lights tomorrow. I may change up my writeup on the light install since this time around I am making my own harness.
If i roll down to Houston to pick up my steps, wanna help me install??? I'm in the DFW metroplex.

I'm happy to help you bolt them up, but wiring the lights takes me the better part of a work day if done nicely(Lots of soldering/shrink tubing & frustration with those tiny wires for each individual light.)

As for the color accent the steps come with a removable backing plate for the ROAM logo. On mine I used red vinyl I had laying around and covered that plate(wish it were darker to match the Rubicon logos) I considered painting it but I would have had to wait for the paint to dry prior to install.

Just an FYI for everyone buying ROAM steps...

The tracking from UPS shows a signature is required for delivery. So technically UPS shouldn't leave them if you're not there to sign for them. I do enough business to know that they don't always stick to that... But they're supposed to.

So... If you're not present whenever your steps are being delivered, be aware they'll try to redeliver a couple times, then you would have to pick them up at a sorting hub.

Just ordered Nemesis "Billy rocker" rock sliders. They don't have them up on there web site yet but if u pull them up for jk they look real similar. They have a added step u can purchase separately that is installed/removed with 2 bolts. So easy removal for those hard core outings. They r pretty similar to jcr's sliders but in aluminum. Nemesis says there about 3 week lead with powder coat
Did you ever get these installed? Do you have any pics you could share?

Cheers.

Any chance someone could scan the instructions for the roam sidestep install? I just got mine delivered and there is no paperwork in the box. Just want to make sure I install properly

I just got mine 30 min ago. I’ll scan the instructions when I get back to the house.
