Been waiting for a while to finally get to post something on this thread. Took Rubi for a long weekend trip. Didn't forget the necessities like morning coffee and campfire chilli for dinner.
I'll try to get you a picture when I get home from work tonight. It took a little time to figure out the right order of the brackets but with 3 flat washers for spacers and taking about 4mm off the lower corner of the Dominion bracket it all fit nicely and is solid enough to stand on. Very happy...
Going for the record on how many things I can bolt to the factory roll bar mounts... Maximus 3 roof rack, Dominion high lift jack, and Vector Offroad GBB. Call Guinness!! ;)
Nice work! However, speaking as someone who may be sharing the road with you, please add some gussets to them there welds! Your fellow drivers thank you ;)
Drilled new holes in the base of the tent in line with the slots in the rack and used some custom stainless t-nuts to bolt it down. Took a few minutes to line up the first bolt with the nut but the other 3 lined up perfectly after that.
Absolutely love your work! Beautiful Jeep! When you get a chance would you please take a couple of pictures of the mounts for the GBB rack, I too have the Maximus 3 rack, I also the Dominion Highlift Jack mount sharing the same bolts. I don't want to lose the jack mount if I can avoid it. Thanks...
If you are planning on getting a winch, that piece will have to be removed anyway, Maximus 3 has some really nice aluminum filler pieces for that space if you do get a Warn winch. Bumper looks great btw!
Used the ARB fridge wiring kit and ran the wire from the 40A aux 2 wire (green w/pink stripe) under the dash at the passenger side kick panel, under the carpet, along the center console and under the back seat to the driver's side rear wheel well area. Then I drilled a 1-1/8" hole into the...
I wasn't able to use the factory bolt holes for the D-rings so I installed 4 rivet nuts where they lined up with the slide mounting holes. It turned out very clean and I can remove it when I don't need the refrigerator. Your idea may work with the DFG slide, I am not familiar with it.
Installed and wired a ARB 50qt fridge and slide on the driver's side. It's a very tight fit but the tailgate closes easily and both back seats are up and locked.
