Man, I think I would like it more if the rear window could be removed.
If you open it like that, you probably won't even be able to see it from inside the vehicle...I just noticed that...cool!

Does the hardtop rear window open like that?

If I'm not mistaken the whole top comes off including the rear window.
I have not heard either way. If you find out please post your source. I’d have to imagine it can be removed but I’m guessing would require a lot more labor than removing the freedom hard top.

There has been talk of a non removable power top, and this very well could be it.

That being said I also heard rumors of more top options coming in the spring summer.

Does the red Rubicon in the production photos in Colorado have the top "down" or "off"? Is it fully removed or just not visible? If it is fully removed, does it safely fit in the trunk?
So far all production photos seen have had the top on the 2 doors completely removed. I believe you are referring to the red rubi posted by Jeep with the mountain backdrop.

A fully removed top will likely not fit in the trunk space. This is going off my experience with JKs and YJs. The JL MAY be different but I doubt it.

And to answer your other post, the uppers from half doors (2 doors) barely, when squeezed, fit in behind the rear seat when in a passenger position. Again my experience with a JK. The JL may be different but I doubt it. IF you can even get uppers yet which is an interesting rumor.

I have been watching this post since the live feed. 1st off I would like to thank JAY, and his help for doing such a good job. I hope you are a big part of the JT launch also.

Next I would like to think Jeep for knocking the JL out of the park. To many folks b%#*&ing about very small details. This Jeep rocks. Now put a truck bed on it and park one in my garage.

I think Jay already posted in another thread that the hard top with the sliding soft top is not removeable. As someone said later in this thread, it can probably be done but would certainly be more difficult than the current hard top. May even result in warranty issues if not meant to be removed by Jeep.

It’s not “partial” or “soft” Hybrid, the 4cylinder with BSG (known as eTorque in FCA terms) is a MILD hybrid.
The PHEV stands for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle
As stated in the reveal presentation, the 4cylinder turbo has a hybrid assist, for the turbo lag, and brakes that restore the charge much like a Prius. This is not the same as the plug in hybrid available for 2020. Whatever the term may be, I do not want be trying to wrench on restorative brakes or batteries out on the trail or even worse dealing with lag if the system were to go out while crawling. It would be different if there was no hybrid and a manual instead to compensate.

Modified with Katzkin leather seat covers. One of the ways to avoid the red dash if it is standard. Order heritage tan interior and get dark seat covers or Katzkins..
Yeah, I noticed that, but from what I've read here the only options for Rubicon are red and black, and that one appears to be silver.

Can anyone embellish on why they are not making a 2 door Sahara? It makes no sense!

I don't know that this has been confirmed, but people are speculating it's because there isn't enough room for selec-trac in the two door.

As great as this looks, I think the Sport is really just neglected. As the highest volume vehicle, it has received the least amount of options and visual flares. No more optional LEDs? No more upgrade off road package without going full blown Rubi? Why can’t we PAY for it if we WANT it??
Totally agree !!!!
