Driving today and this overlay kept popping up over and over, no less than 40 times. I kept hitting the X to close it, but back it came, overlaying my navigation that I was using. I called and asked to have this disabled (that and my jeep has over 36,000 miles) and the rep asks for my VIN. How the hell am I supposed to know that while driving, and why would they make it so easy to call while driving? And to top it all off, when I said I was driving and didn't know my VIN, they abruptly hung up on me. I am fucking livid.

Take the radio out of the dash there's a wireless modem inside with three wires connected to it disconnect those three wires undo the screw take the modem throw it in the trash and you'll never see that again.

Radio reinstall is reverse of removal.

I had this keep happening on the drive home last night. Stupid message kept popping up and would disappear within a few seconds.

Nothing like trying to tap a tiny "X" button over and over again while driving at night because some glitchy ad is blocking your map and HVAC controls. And why in tf would I want to chat with an extended warranty specialist while driving out in the sticks with shitty reception of all possible times?

So what do you want? For them to have all your personal information so they can look up which vehicle is yours when you call them and say "Hello. This is Joe. Fix my radio. Duh...".

This isn't the movies, it's reality. They don't use The Force. They don't know what vehicle you're talking about without your VIN.

No get off the phone and focus on your driving. Call when you are not driving and know your VIN.

Wonder how many are still on here that were affected by the off road pages back in '18 or '19? A quick recap - you had to get the upgraded uconnect with the bigger screen to get off road pages on the infotainment, which many people on here got just for the off road pages, and you had no choice but to be connected. Well, FCA updated everybody and took away off road pages!!! There were a lot of unhappy people on here, eventually they came back, but never underestimate what they can do to a connected vehicle.

Just wait until ads for everything start popping up on the screens

Another reason I bought a Sport that isn't connected to anything, isn't "smart," and has almost no "infotainment" witchcraft. Makes me wish I still had my trusty MB or CJ with nothing resembling a computer on board. Life sure used to be simpler without all the automated "help!"
