My Air Conditioner just stopped working. Whether I have it set to Auto with the temp all the way down or I have the AC button selected, I get extremely hot air coming from the vents. Has anybody experienced this?

Although I cannot give any technical feedback, if you're thinking you'd like to get this inspected by the dealer, don't hesitate to connect with us. We're available via private message and can help with the servicing process. Very sorry for any inconvenience.

I have replaced a condenser recently, had a pin hole leak in the weld. Take a look you might see some dye on one of the ac components or lines.

Yup, just sent my JLUR to the dealer after just 4-5 days of getting it. If I had the front windshield mode on, 70 degrees, no AC on it would burn up the cabin. Even when I put it down to 69 degrees, same modes and all it would shoot out ice cold air. Will let you know what the dealer says. Been a week and still no diagnosis. Yikes.

This is the kind of problem that you thank God for it happening under warranty.

So I couldn't get a service appointment until next Tuesday so I started to troubleshoot myself. It's too damn hot not to have AC for the next week. What I found is that I have a bad relay so I am half way to getting it fixed. I discovered this by swapping the relay for the AC with the relay for the HD ACCY#4 relay. Once I did this the AC started working like new. The problem I have now (atleast until I get a new relay) is that I have no idea what the HD ACCY #4 relay does. I have chosen to keep the good relay in the AC for now. Does anyone have any idea what the HD ACCY #4 relay is for. I am guessing it is associated with the Aux Light switches but can't tell for sure since I am not using any of the switches yet.

Awesome trouble-shooting! You're golden, because the ACCY #4 is the auxiliary switch #4 (I'm quite sure), a 40 amp circuit which explains the need for the relay. If you're not using Aux 4, you don't need the relay. Good job.
Awesome. Thanks for the confirmation.

Having the same exact issue. Just bought my JLU last week. A/C started to go in and out on day 6 and completely out day 7. Tried getting service apt but couldn’t get into service for two weeks. So I called my salesperson directly and they r taking my Jeep first thing this morning. Thanks for the diagnosis.. will let u know what service says. Question, did yours go out all at once or was it intermittent then go out?

It was all at once. I get in the jeep on a 98 degree day to go to lunch and it was just hot air. The AC was working that morning. Check to see that all of the fuses and relays in the fuse box are all pushed in all the way some people have reported that their fuses were not properly seated.

So mine was intermittent for 2 days and then total out. The dealership ran diags and ended up replacing the HVAC module. Here is the write up from the dealer.

Hi KAL,

keep us updated on what you hear from the dealership. If you need an additional layer of assistance while in service, let me know via direct message so that I can escalate your inquiry. Very sorry for the inconvenience with your A/C.

A/C is back to full functioning. The dealer ran diags and ended up replacing the HVAC module due to an issue with signals being transmitted to the sensors.

My 2018 JLU Sport S AC problem is that it won't work at allz then after a few minutes it finally turns on. The rear defrost telltale and AC.compressor indicator both light up, but no air. I turn the knob to high, push the compressor button, turn the temperature knob, nothing. I even have video of this happening. Brought it to Puente Hills CDJR twice (where I bought the Jeep). I even showed a video of the problem. All I got was, "the tech was unable to verify the issue..." So I asked Debbie the service writer "so I made up this video?!" She said she didn't say that but that unless they can replicate the problem, they can't fix it. OMG! It's on video!!! That's why I recorded it bc the last time I went in, Henry told me that if he or the tech can see what's happening and when it happens, they can better diagnose the problem. I'm thinking of getting an attorney and lemon lawing this thing. It's hot out in California and my kids even say to me, "Daddy, it's hot..." All I can do is roll down the windows and wait for the AC to kick in, which it does after 2 minutes or so. They have laws about leaving kids in hot cars unattended. There should be laws about dealers letting customers drive cars with broken AC's they refuse to fix.
