I just got the factory unit back in. Below is a picture of what is coming up. Everything lights up except the fan speed button, middle AC and right.

I did the disconnect battery method for 10 minutes with no luck. No codes even come up when the machine is plugged in. When the blower motor was tested, it works fine. So the connection by the blow motor and resistor work completely fine. The issue seems to be where the AC controls are.

Check fuses 35 and 105 for power. They power hvac module.

If they removed the PDC for any reason, such as replacing the aux battery or installing that harness, a pin could have been bent when the PDC was reinstalled. Happened to me, drove me crazy for days until someone here suggested the bent pin.

I removed the PDC, found 2 bent pins, carefully got them reasonably straight, then took care reinstalling the PDC. Within 30 minutes I had my heat and AC back.

Refer back to post #14. Like I said, mine was doing the same thing.

I had a similar thing happen with mine, a year or so after buying it. It was under warranty, and the small a/c control panel was replaced. It is what controls the a/c, heater, fan, etc. My.symptoms were that it took longer and longer, over time, for the a/c, blower to come on. It would sometimes take a couple of minutes. Eventually, it just stopped working. That is when I took it in. I didn't want them saying that the symptoms couldn't be replicated.
I wonder if it could be the wire that’s connecting the AC panel. The only reason I say that is because the aftermarket screen I had was plugged in as well with the same issue. The aftermarket screen I had also covered the AC part of the car.

I had a similar issue in my Rubicon after I had disconnected the battery. Surprisingly the UConnect system controls the heat and ac systems. After reading a post on here, I did a reset of the radio and all came back to life. I can’t recall which radio buttons to push and hold for the reset,
Found it.
To reset your Uconnect radio, you can perform a soft reset or a hard reset:

  • Soft reset
To resolve minor issues, you can try a soft reset by pressing and holding the volume and tuner knob buttons for 10–20 seconds. The display screen will flash and then go dark.

  • Hard reset
To reset your Uconnect radio to factory settings, you can try these steps:
    1. Press and hold the temperature up and down buttons for at least five seconds

    2. Select the option to reset to factory settings from the menu that appears

      • Wait about 30 seconds for the system to reboot
Resetting your Uconnect radio can cause some inconveniences, such as losing any upgrades that were previously installed.

If your Uconnect app isn't working, you can try these steps:

    • Check that your Uconnect Access or SXM Guardian subscription hasn't expired
    • Make sure you have the most recent version of the app downloaded from your phone's app store
Great information but this was no luck for me

Going to give it a shot today. Thank you.

Looking at the wiring diagram JL's do not have a blower motor resistor instead they are pwm controlled by the hvac module. There is a relay that supplies power to fuse and motor. If fuse has power check power and ground at motor.

Any idea which relay it is?

I have been trying to add the a/c diagram with no luck but if you search the forum you will find the diagram to see what you can check. As others have mentions it could be loose or bent connector as well.

The only way those controls work is by data lines to the HVAC module. It all comes down to the same module in the end no matter what.
