No I haven’t tried those yet, but I am currently trying Haida869 in 37x12.50x17.
These are decent. The downside for an M/T the tread depth only starts at 18/32” rather then 21 - 23/32” like most M/Ts. However, they are still more true to size than a 37” KO2.
It must also be noted that these tires like the Patagonia must be run at a bit higher road pressure to wear properly. They are not meant to lay totally flat on the road like most tires. The problem with this is when it snows they are downright dangerous until you reduce the pressure down to 24psi. Like the Patagonia they have an orange paint line through the tread on one side and blue on the opposite side. The idea is that the tread between these 2 paint line is where the tread should be touching the road for street pressure (chalk test parameters).
when aired down they do well in the snow and slick roads. Off-road they are nothing special. They pack with clay and tread really is t deep enough for serious stuff. Duratracs do just as well for that and better in snow/winter road conditions.

I'm quite surprised the Firestone Destination MT got a 9 for wear rating. I feel like mine have worn more than half in 3K miles.

Thanks for the work in this thread and chart. I'll need new tires before the end of the year and the amount of feedback in various threads is a lot to sift through.

I just took a razor blade to the tread of my Goodyear Duratracs which made one of them unrepairable....So I ended up getting a set of Duratrac RT (the new version). I will report back after some time on the road and dirt.

I couldn't read all 22 pages. But I was wondering if there was any new information on the Yokohama Geolander M/T G003.

Or if anyone has any first hand experience with them and their pros and cons.

Thanks

Dare I ask if anyone is running the Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT and what the reviews might be?

I have to think that right side is quieter than the left? Any noise comparison to KO2s?

Really no real difference and both are as quiet as my last two sets of ko2’s. I only have 5500 miles on the at’s and 500 on the mt’s so maybe that will change.

Toyo Open Country ATIII, 35x11.5r17. Put 65K on my first set and replaced with the same ones. Phenomenal in the snow and Ice. Everyone ended up in the ditch or my yard while I drove on the 1-2" thick ice-covered road without issue. 35psi and they rarely slipped unless I made them.

so last night swapped back to the AT's as i am headed out tomorrow on a 1200 mile road trip and figured I would save the more aggressive tread and was able to do a really back to back comparo and the MT's are in fact just as quiet and smooth as the at's. the AT's on stock wheels are like 88lbs and the MT on AEV wheels 106lbs and can feel no difference in acceleration or braking.

so dang, those AEV wheels must be heavy,.. because Mickey says the 37” MTs are actually 79lbs; that’s 1lb lighter than the ATs in the same size,..

interesting about the noise though (even though you’ve got them mounted on different width rims that would different amounts of ‘bow’ on the tread).
i loved the Mickey Mts i had in 35s and am torn between the ATs and the MTs when i can find an excuse to get rid of the 37” KM3s i’m using now.

the AT's are the 35x10's ie the 255/85-17 Mickey thompson says 64lbs and the MT 35/12.5-17 and Mickey thompson says 71lbs for those. AEV says the wheels are 33lbs the MT's took very little weight. I actually did weigh the AEV wheels and they were 32.5lbs..so I am guessing Mickey Thompson is off a bit on their weights..

Goodyear Duratrac R/T (the updated version) - 5,000 miles on them so far

Noise = 10 (they pretty much make no noise with this new tread pattern)

Ride = 8

Dry = 9

Wet = 7 (Minimal rain use at this point. Seemed to grip better)

Snow = N/A (No snow yet)

Trail = 10 (Same or better performance)

Look = 10 (These sidewalls look waaaay beefier)

Overall = 10 (Still a great value if you score them on a USAA discount)

Wear = N/A (too few miles to know how these will end up)

ah, i understood you to say you were running the same size tires in the 2 different tread patterns.
in that case, we’re talking different size tire in different load ranges, on different width wheels,.. all bets are off.
