Use my soft top all the time, both to lift up as a convertible, rear windows out in safari mode, and completely back. It is a pain to get to the cargo area, so I see the appeal of the hardtop with the bestop top in the front section. But I'd do soft, or dual again.

Lollllll??

To all of you here touting the "I can just push a button, when it is about to rain ahead...." mantra, well here is my thing.

I challenge any SOT to a race. I bet an entire BTC, I can open AND close my soft top, quicker than what the push button can do ??.

Before the thread lawyers step in, let's be clear bout two things.

First, that SOT coverage, should be compared to a 4 door/soft-top in sun rider mode, NOT when the soft top is pulled back all the way down to the spare tire. SOT coverage is no different than Sunrider mode on a soft top ; ).

A rookie reading this thread, trying to make an informed decision, will get totally confused what SOT is really being compared to here.

Second, I do like the SOT, and actually wouldn't mind owning one only because of this, so take that lawyers ???.

You can close your soft top from fully open to close while driving? I would love to see a video of that. Kind of defeats the point of being quicker if you need to stop and get out to do the job vs pushing a button while driving along.

And son, you say you wanna be a winner . You remind me a lot of my younger days. But boy, I’m gonna sit right here and push this button all night. And if there’s somethin’ you gotta gain to prove by winnin’ some silly race. Well OK, I quit, I lose, you’re the WINNER. ? ?…And if it wadn’t for this glass eye of mine, why I’d she’d a happy tear. ?

My perfect Jeep would have a soft top with wipers on the back window.

Anywhere, you can convince yourself all you like, but one of us has to stop and get out to put their top back on. The other presses a button for .1 seconds and can carry on with what they’re doing, like rock crawling.Enjoy your soft top, even if it’s made you a bit delusional apparently.

And I'll still WIN ⏳⏱

WOW, some of you are laaaaaaazy! ?

In a few hundred years, many of your type will have morphed into just a head, with almost no legs, almost no arms, but just a head, with fingers protruding out from the head, like outcrops, designed to solely press buttons with zero movement ???.

When the debate is lost, slander is the tool used by the loser.

Says the kid that resorted to calling people lazy once he realized he lost the argument. Thanks for pointing that out though.
