DV8 tech team responded quickly. I appreciate the turn around, but the response is to drill for additional clearance (https://dv8offroad.com/cdn/shop/files/AHJP-02_Install_Guide.pdf?v=3056222712985753881).
Defeats the purpose of a quick bolt-on kit. I would not recommend this hitch for a JL.
I was in a rush for a trip to mount a rack, so picked this one up from local inventory. Didn't make it in time for the trip unfortunately. I saw that Curt was made in the US and had good reviews.
Unfortunately I got it from 4 Wheel Parts and their policy doesn't allow returns once it's been installed. That includes mocking it up.
That's my plan, but figured I would give DV8 feedback in the process. Even with rough tolerances, I'm surprised how off it is. As you can see in the photo...
This must be me being an idiot somehow. I got the dv8 hitch. Says on their site and 4wp that it fits on my 2022 JLU Willy’s Sport, stock bumpers.
The 4 bolts line up laterally fine, but the lip is just a couple of mm high and blocks the bolt from going in.

Family of 4 with a softtop, and it'd be great to have kids sit outboard and fit long items like skis / sleds in the middle instead of the having to collapse the 40 side. Seems like European makes have 40/20/40 as a more common configuration
There isn't an arm rest there, so I wish Jeep would...

Use my soft top all the time, both to lift up as a convertible, rear windows out in safari mode, and completely back. It is a pain to get to the cargo area, so I see the appeal of the hardtop with the bestop top in the front section. But I'd do soft, or dual again.
Thought about this while researching winches. I have a 5-ton (10k lb) come-along with 10' of cable, 30' of recovery rope, and a tree saver. Could I use additional synthetic winch rope as a way to extend the reach to an anchor point for recovery / use with a snatch block? I don't plan on getting...
Are you still running this setup? Any changes you would make after a year, or any products that have become available that you would choose if you were to start over? Considering my options and posted in...
Considering getting a winch and researching mounting options for my 2022 Willys Sport with the plastic bumper.
The Rock Hard 4x4 winch plate looks like a simple solution that maintains the oem bumper. I like that it maintains the factory fog lights, factory crash engineering, but dislike how...
Ya I had recovery straps, boards, shovel. But unfortunately left my come along out after the winter. It would’ve been easy to pull from the back.
Definitely could’ve avoided if I had walked the particular line. Good lesson and happy outcomes.
Got stuck coming out of a trail (right side was much muddier than left, should’ve walked it first). Front end was buried up to axles. Took a lot of digging. Neighbors came in the gladiator but we couldn’t get traction. Thanks to kindness of strangers on the trail, we got suggestion to anchor the...
