I wish they would do something in aluminum. There are loads of people who rarely take the top off and it would be great to have something heavier but able to handle a properly high dynamic load.
I am surprised someone like Alu-cab has never offered a proper hard top solution.

After all, a lot of people use a hardtop hoist system to remove the top, so who cares if it weighs a bit more?

What do you mean by high dynamic load?

By way of example, a roof top tent subject to the aerodynamic forces of wind when the vehicle is being driven. A dynamic load is one that changes based on the varying forces applied to it. The effects of these changes are transferred to what the load touches; in this case, the factory fiberglass roof (and the limitations of its strength).

You can always remove the rear glass from your Jeep.

What's next? Remove the structural crossbar, so that the rear passengers can easily stare at the clouds without obstruction? And the subsequent poor sound quality due to the loss of the overhead speakers? Starting to sound familiar?

I won’t lie I would absolutely make that trade, I’ve got my surround sound and headphone toys at home if I want to listen to quality audio lol.

worse sound for a completely open experience sounds great to me, and it’s why I don’t design vehicles

You can remove the sound bar yourself, whereas trying to add it to a vehicle that never had it takes a bit of work and money.

I have a 21 2dr hard top. Id like to be able to easily remove the two side and rear windows to make sort of a hard safari top.

Same. I think the reason they don’t do this is so they don’t hurt the SOT sales.
