I've slept in the back of my jeep a few times. Sometimes I get to my camp spot and it's too windy/rainy/snowy.
I'm 5-11 and do not find it comfortable, even with the seats pushed all the way forward. Plus I have 2 medium/large dogs, and now a fiance.
But in a pinch, it'll work. Always keep a spare blanket in the back.

This is my current setup. I use a DeepSleep solo mat. I permanently removed the 40% seat mainly for my dog to jump in easier, but also so he has a place to sleep. I now have a Vector Offroad shelf which is amazing for storing my gear. My first time to use this setup will be in Moab May 2nd where I'm meeting my buddy.

From the last few months of sleeping in our Jeep. My wife is 5'10" tall and I am 6'4" tall. The tent on the back of the Jeep worked out great. We unloaded the Jeep into the tent and then used the Deep Sleep mattress to sleep on. How well did it go. Well I asked my wife while we were Jeeping, camping from Arizona to North Carolina if she wanted to get a hotel room one of the nights and she said, nope lets camp again.

OK. So a few people asked me how I set up everything under the mattress. So for the head I use my VIAIR compressor bag and tool roll. Works great. Then I use three 1" gym mat squares to level it from the trench back. That still leaves about 8-10" at the foot of the mattress. So I just cut one gym mat into 3rds. In the trench I use a 4" roller that I can also use to roll out my back and other muscles after camping. Stays in Jeep always. Nothing revolutionary, but none of this stuff takes up a lot of room for every day carry. Only a slight incline, but not noticeable at all when laying back there. I'm 6'1" 210lbs so not small and it's comfortable enough for my dog and I with a fridge and use the shelf as a TV stand. Takes about 5 minutes to set up. Having a shelf really makes this setup work.

I've slept in my jeep a few times, not really a big fan. I have a very comfortable self inflating mattress too, but that's not the issue. Getting in and out of the rear doors, putting on shoes, and having 2 dogs is cumbersome as heck. Plus I have to unload the fridge and other gear and keep it under my jeep.
Once, I had to sleep in it on a whim, with only a small blanket, and water bottle as a pillow. Was not a good night lol.
Sorry for the mess, it's winter and a pain to clean, plus my dogs have double coats (if you know you know).

I'm currently in the process of building a setup to sleep in my Jeep.
My design uses a raised platform on the back with two drawers under it. One side is wider then the other, because it fits a dometic cd30 fridge. This allows me to easily remove the fridge when I don't need it.
Under the platform is the AAL bracket to hold an arb compressor and aux battery, with redarc dc to dc charger.
My back seats will remain in the Jeep, but with a platform over them to have a level place to put the deep sleep mattress.
Still a work in progress. I'll share more when it's done and working.
I'm taking inspiration from air down gear up. They have a nice setup that I really like. Sadly, they don't support the subwoofer. And they don't support a removable fridge. Otherwise I'd probably buy that setup. Because building this is much cheaper, sure, but the time it is taking is immense.
