I'm sure this has been a previous topic, but still fairly new to the forum...I currently have 35 inch pro comp xtreme mt2 tires on my jl and looking to switch to an all terrain tire and am looking for some suggestions. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Do a Google search for this: "best all-terrain tires JLWranglerforums" and you'll get a few threads. You're going to get a boatload of different answers and I would suggest your pick a few you like and do some research of reviews on them. I run Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT's and Kenda Klever AT2's but you're going to hear about Toyo's, Nitto's, BFG's, Falken, etc.

Hey Malcolm, what did you not like about your current tires? I don't have experience with anything but KO2. Some people love 'em, some hate 'em. I don't love them in mud...

Tons of reviews and opinions. How do yo intend to use your Jeep? Obviously the MTs weren't for you, so likely aggressive ATs won't be either. Forums like this will always lean toward the extreme, or to some little know wonder tire that really isn't all that great (Patagonia MTs?).

Choose a highly rated tire from a reputable manufacturer. Avoid load range E. There, now go shopping.

They're not great on wet pavement and the road noise. This is my first jeep so I have yet to do anything serious (off road), except for some occasional trails...

I'm a Toyo ATIII convert. Its fantastic in the wet weather up here in the PNW.
I almost suggested these. I had them on my truck pre-jeep and they were barely any louder than the goodyear street tires that were originally on it. Couldn't vouch for the wet road since we rarely see rain in Tejas but the siping looks good.

If the OP can wait, probably should.

I am a friend of KO2, but I also happen to like General Grabber ATX.

OP: depends how you use your Jeep. Both do okay on the trail; KO2s are quieter and more comfortable on-road; ATXs do better in snow, slush and rain.

If I were to do it all over again, I'd probably get a 35x11.5 --285 mm-- tire instead: save some weight, reduce some contact patch area, and keep those tires nicely tucked within the fenders.
