2023 Waiting/Venting Room

Quick question for all who have/are suffered/suffering, I put my order in on the 23rd last month and had a VIN assigned the next day. Still just showing order confirmed, but I've noticed most in that stage don't have a VIN assigned. Any ideas how I have a VIN already?

I ordered 11/4 got a vin within days….sat in confirmed until 1/10, went into production 2/2

Here I was hoping that meant I spec'd it just right and they had one sitting in the corner just waiting to be delivered

Well they are going much quicker now. Mine was held up due to Punk’n. If mine was White it probably would’ve taken about 8 weeks instead of the 12.

They kind of are, I mean, they keep increasing the prices every month of the trims and options, so you feel like you get a deal by the end if it's price locked. I don't know about you, but I think my options have gone up several thousand since my order date... I sure hope i'm price locked...

Ooooof, I couldn't imagine waiting 6+ months for a jeep only to find out the dealership didn't price lock it.

BaconKittens got her Jeep so she's being polite, but she has one foot out the door.

Jeep is still at the dealership - my SO's job has no end time so we never know how late he would be at work during the week so it was best to schedule pick up on a Saturday. I keep telling my JLUR that he gets to take a break soon. He's gonna be what we originally purchased him for - a weekend fun vehicle!

I'm pretty sure she's just here to cheerlead me from the sidelines. Us "lady jeepers with nearly the same build who both waited 6+months" gotta stick together. It's an exclusive club.

100% - We've been in this together since day 1! I'm invested!

So far, there is only one person on this thread (Griffinhez) who did not have their price locked by the dealer and had to pay more. Everyone else to my knowledge has had their original price honored by their dealer. ?

So I checked in with jeep chat again, since they told me most recently that I was built and in inspection so probably done soon. Today's rep told me it's still being built.

It really seems like they just make things up as they go along.

Wish they understood that setting expectations key in customer service. People are generally understanding, but when a dealer tells you 4 months is usually the maximum, and you're at 6-7 months without build (yet alone delivery) while at the same time your build status seems to be going backwards --- well... I don't know what to tell you. I've had slower vehicle builds in the past on other cars, and it was fine because they were straight with me from the start on timeline and proactive with accurate updates.

Confirmed order in Mid-Oct…..received the first sign of life this week, they added code 4xv, which as I understand it is just a sales code not linked to anything positive.

Placed order 11/11, just got confirmation Jeep is built. eta To dealer is 3/4. I’m really in no rush so I’m feeling pretty happy right now.,

I got an email from Jeep yesterday saying that I’ve moved out of C status. Sure enough, I checked the tracker today and… bam. Hopefully it won’t be another 5 months before I take delivery of the damned thing. ?
