What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

And because that is the SAFE limit to tow. I wish you the best but if you get in an accident you are looking at some serious liability issues if you pull more than your vehicles approved limit.

Since most exact same vehicles in Europe have a higher towing rating than in the U.S., I checked out https://www.jeep.co.uk/car-configurator/wrangler-4-door/#/version. The European JK (there isn't a JL on their site yet) towing rating is 2,000 kg / braked (4,409lbs) and it appears the exact same engine, etc. in the U.S. for the JK is 3,500lbs. I've seen the same thing for other mfg and models of vehicles as well. I wonder why the difference in U.S. vs Europe in towing capacities for virtually the same vehicle? So it seems it is still 'safe' to tow up to 4,409lbs since (in this case the JK), but yet the insurance company goes by the U.S. listed towing capacity.

It was mentioned earlier. It is because it has a removable top. How that makes a difference, that I do not know. Why the difference of regulations from EU to USA, same thing as why CA emissions are different and we have to have a "special" blend of fuel, these rules are made by "special" people.

Can you clarify? The European JK has a removable top as well as the U.S. JK.

It’s probably because US is the most litigious country in the world.

Nothing easy yet at least that I know of. I bet in a couple of months there will be.

Have you looked at eTrailer yet? I believe that they have a plug and play kit available. Description isn’t clear for JL but the reviews indicated that they were JL owners. Might be worth a call before buying. Their wiring stuff is really good though. I’ve used it on another vehicle of ours.

The light bar wind noise was bad. The Aerolidz did its job, but I really don’t like the look. Also the open ends collect dirt and dust and it’s hard to clean them. Need find something else....

My Rubicon has Tan leather seats so today, I used a high quality Leather cleaner, Conditioner & Protectant and Sealed the seats. And they feel great.

Again it doesnt matter what color leather seats you have please condition and protect them.

Your choice on what you use here is what I use.
