Is it just me, or do there not seem to be any 4 door Rubicon’s with build sheets on the sticker tracking site...only 1 still.
I just got mine, 5/14.

Can you post some video. How is it? Come on man we’re dying here!
....my build sheet, not the vehicle. LOL! Sorry about that. But he was asking about the build sheet.

FCA "escalation" is meaningless.

This is my first Wrangler and my first order. Not a good experience, that's for sure. I would certainly hesitate to ever order another vehicle from FCA. I agree, that they should have got all their ducks in a row FIRST, before ever allowing anyone to order one of these. Then, you gotta love how they have customer service people available 24/7, who tell you absolutely nothing. Their "customer service" and information sharing is abysmal. :headbang:
Definitely a rough process this time around.

This is my second Wrangler, and my second factory order.

To be fair, the first go-round was much better than this one. That was a ‘14 JKU Sahara and it was a faster process with far more info along the way.

This time around has been abysmal. It’s their first time producing JLs after a significant refresh from the JK. On top of that, we all ordered a brand new engine for this platform. So - there’s a lot going on. To me, that explains the delays to an extent where it’s frustrating, yes, but I at least understand why it’s happening.

What it does not explain, however, is the horrible information sharing. It’s ok that they’re having a tough time with this new platform including a new engine and new transmission (and all new electrical system, etc). We get it. But just be open with us and let us know what’s up.

You could make an argument that Jeep owes no updates to us, and we just need to be patient - we’ll get the Jeeps when they’re done. Ok. Fair enough. But what’s odd is why did FCA change their direction in information sharing? First, shutting down VOTS, and then telling Jeep customer service reps 2 weeks ago to stop giving out status codes.

Isn’t everything moving to a more open environment in terms of information sharing? Why is FCA going the opposite direction?

Here's my update this morning from dealer. He said they heard from fca and it seems to have something to do with NAFTA and getting approval. Now that's a new one . I asked if built what nafta could possibly have to do with this but they couldn't or wouldn't answer. So give them lots of credit on the many different reasons...from lights to trucks to nafta. Next it will be Trump and Kim Jung Un. Lots of imagination. So we sit and wait. Wow JS must be packed :)

You do understand NAFTA is directly linked to Trump right? That these engines are coming from Italy and he's waged an almost outright protectionist trade war?

How does the North American Free Trade Agreement affect a European country? NAFTA is only for United States, Canada and Mexico.

NAFTA should not be the issue: case in point, the 3.6L v6 is currently being built in Mexico and they're still flowing through build process... I'm not going as far to say the dealer/sales person is lying, but maybe they're terribly mis-informed.

Agreed. When I spoke to jeep they said the vehicles went from Ottawa to Ohio. So who knows. But I really find the whole thing more bs. Today they said by beginning of June. Maybe they should just say nothing. Or maybe tell the truth. How can this be good for fca? Unless the problem is more then they want us to know.

How much is that diesel going to cost and possibly this has some bearing on why the 2,0 is a thousand dollar option. Just guessing.

Not nafta. Just the general trade restrictions recently imposed or to be imposed. The dealer might have misunderstood and said nafta.

He was quite clear about NAFTA which was amazing to me. Remember most of us are built and in storage. So he said some kind of approval. There are loads of parts from Mexico and Canada. But if you understand NAFTA or anyone else does maybe they could explain what approval they mean.
