JL Door-off mirrors recommendations

Looking for a set of temporary mirrors to mount when I have the doors off. Most of the sets I'm seeing online have decent reviews, but when I look at the 1 and 2 star comments, it's all the same... they loosen and move at speed. Does anyone know of a brand that looks good and functions correctly? Thanks

Saw the same thing. I went with the scooter mirrors from oreilly because they can’t fold. They are on the smaller side but we’re fine driving around today. There is minimal shaking, about the same as my old dodge when the tow mirrors were folded out. And at 7 dollars a piece they work well. You just remove the one cowl screw and they screw right in.

CMM mirrors are pricey but they are by far the best option out of all the ones I was looking at. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another set.

Kikbax mirrors are hand downs the best! I bought these after trying many other kinds. They also hook around where the door strap connects. These don’t move at all at highways speeds. Best part is that these have foot pegs. Although you might think you don’t want them…when you have the doors off, I promise you you’ll be hanging your foot out.

They are expensive, no doubt. I bought a cheaper set of mirrors first and hated the vibration on the freeway. I splurged on the CMM mirrors (and locking nut) and am very happy with them because they‘re not too big (look great), don’t vibrate at all, and provide good coverage (important when the soft top is down).

Like Chris, I’d buy them again.

The scooter mirrors are...cute? I swear I don't mean that in a condescending way. Do the scooter mirrors work with tube doors? The CMM work great with tube doors, and don't stick out too far.

These work great (had them on my old JK)...no vibration or extra wind noise what so ever...and they maintain the factory look. Unfortunately you can't use the JK brackets on the JL.

They sell the brackets or brackets and mirrors combo.

I didn't want to be taking my mirrors off of my door every time I go doorless so I bought on extra set of mirrors to attach to the brackets when I first used these with my old JK.

Since I already had this extra set mirrors for my old JK, I only had to buy the JL brackets that work with my JK style mirrors this time. Pretty cool of this company to sell/make JL brackets that work with JK mirrors as well as JL mirrors.

Bought these on Etsy from a seller called “DoorsOffDesigns”. Just a 3d printed bracket, the hardware, and some mirrors to go in. They’re rock solid steady on the interstate.

I’ll probably sand them down a bit just for polish, but I’m happy with the purchase.

I went with the real thing. Less that those ridiculously overpriced $250+ aftermarket things.

Just don't buy those hinge mount Amazon cheapos, round or square, if you want functional mirrors. Everyone I know who has them, says they vibrate, turn and are useless at speed and they only have them to avoid a ticket.
