Roam from the beginning had on their site the price was always going to be listed at $399. The price for the steps at $299 was the sale price at initial launch only, so I don’t think it’s their fault you missed the initial sale price.
I just ordered last week at $299. (April 24th) I also received them yesterday. I guess timing is everything!

Dam I must of just missed out on a pair. I ordered some on the 24th as well but they put me on the waiting list for the next batch.

Looks great. Will consider this maybe at some point. For now, pleased with the stock Sahara Mopar steps.

Ok, didn't realize the dome/interior lights dim when they switch on/off.

This causes some slight flickering of the step lights as they illuminate and turn off. I don't think the relay or lights are designed to dim, so I will need to figure that out tomorrow.

I took plenty of pictures that I will share once I get everything finished.

The roam side steps look awesome, especially with the lighting. It very tempting. However, when my Rubicon is delivered and install a 2 inch lift and 35s, I am not sure the Roam steps will be low enough for my wife to get into my Jeep with her bum knee.

I have been waiting for Rough Country to introduce these side steps for the JL.

I was told they would be available in a few weeks. @Rough Country Suspensions any idea when these can be purchased for the JL?

Which side step can be used with hi lift jack? Every thing so far on this thread seems either decorative or just a good step. I want both a step and a lift point.

I know the JCR Crusader sliders have Hi-Lift jack Points...
I would really love a set of those, price is just a little steep for me at the moment :brokenhearted:
Not sure how well they would work as a step, but I'm sure they work well as a slider from the abuse I've seen them take on their JK.

Thanks. That’s the real deal. You are right on both accounts: they are good and they are pricey. Hope is one of those you get what you pay.
I’ll keep looking but those might be the ones. Thank you.

I reached out to ROAM and have no response. Was willing to buy yesterday and wait but given they're not responding to emails from me/others here, Ecom website not working or have a phone number to call and talk to a human being - I'm moving on - the LOD guys are accessible and respond. I know its more expensive but at least I can reach them and actually buy something. Don't know why ROAM seemed to go dark. I liked their design.
I had the exact opposite experience with Roam. I have exchanged at least 12 emails with them over the last few weeks. I got my order last Friday and installed them ASAP. I was lucky enough to get them at 299 but now that I have them I would happily pay 399 for them. I have been communicating with Anthony. His email address is [email protected]. I believe their next order will be ready in about 3 weeks.
