Number of pictures on this site showing hinges chipped from stones thrown by front wheels. Never has been an issue with my JK, but for some reason, it has apparently become one for JLs.
look like you should be taking delivery this month yet and with my PST and "late" order date of 09 April i will be way behind yours. If you do end up with this product can you post your thoughts/comments on if its worth it or not? I too want to protect the paint and hinges so hopeful that someone will come out with non-obnoxious splash guards for the Rubi as I would invest in those as well but apparently there are not any yet out there for the Rubicons

It is not on their web site.
I saw it on the Jeep search site. I then went to their web site and it was there. It is not there now. I called and talked to Mark the sales guy. After a couple calls back and forth( he wanted to know how I had the VIN) He said it came in yesterday and sold yesterday.......................I would assume it was someones order....

You don’t have to run Premium. They issued # for Turbos on regular, too.
That can cause problems with turbo engines. I wouldn't recommend it. It's been known to burn out valves pretty much destroying the engine.

I don't know if the Jeep engine will have that issue but I wouldn't risk it.

I looked and can't find the numbers on running Regular in the Turbo. In general, I recall being surprised, because like jman mentioned - I didn't think it was a good idea. Also, the drop in MPG was small ( as I recall ).
My bottomline was to wait for my Jeep follow the recommendation stickered on it.

Since I had already ordered mine with a Turbo, I honestly did not pay much attention - it will be whatever it is and dependent on how I drive it. As they say; "Your milage may vary." Mine always does.

Will do. Do you know the practicality of Rubi splash guards for moderate rock crawling? I was under the impression you'd eventually rip them off.

Not sure if this is old news but I just heard from the dealer saying that all soft tops were delayed till Mid-May. Not just the PST.

Let me be the first to say, "Great looking Jeep!"

I love the polished lip wheels and black fenders (which is why I chose both for my build)! Can't wait to see more pictures...

Edit: I just saw "FYI, obviously the JL photo is a stock photo." Duh. Well, yours will look just as great!

Congrats!

I saw on a thread here (somewhere) that someone had installed the mopar JK guards and they claimed that they bent/folded to the countours of any and all rocks. Basically claimed they held up well.
My ‘09 JK with a 2 inch lift throws a TON of crap onto the side of my doors and rear fender, and that’s with Olympic rock rails. So, with all I’m hearing about with the JL’s throwing crap up I figure try to take care of it from the get go.

I tried to sequence the pics for the timeline. When I sent the first message, it is cut off but on May 2, you could tell that it was read right away. I waited almost a week before replying to myself with the shitty attitude. Her excuse is bs, I have reached out to that number before and I haven't received any emails like she is claiming. Just more FCA bullshit
