Embarrasing, but I have to ask !

This has happened both times going through the car wash and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Typical automated car wash, put Jeep in Neutral and the car wash pulls it through. When i get to the end of the car wash I can't put it in Drive. There was an indicator on dash panel but I can't remember what it said. The Jeep stays running but i just can't move it to Drive. And there are other cars on my tail so I'm in a hurry!

Foot on brake? Won't go into gear without - assuming automatic.

Just put your foot on the brake temporarily and it should slip right into gear also the car wash I use if the speedometer is registering at least 1 mph no need to hit the brake just pull it back to drive hope this helps

Yea, you might be right. Crazy I've been driving a very long time I can try this next time and might even tell the attendant to give me a space behind me, they are usually stacked up!

Nope, never opened the doors. And it's a newer fancy car wash with all the neon lights.

These new automatics have safety features. For your safety. Can't just flip it into gear anymore. Might flip by accident.

Try foot on brake, count to 1 second, push button on gear shift, pull into gear.
Or, foot on brake, park, then drive.

That’s not that bad, at least you didn’t drag it across the road with the back wheels locked while tensioning a winch line. Stupid auto park ??

At least you still have your fenders. I lost a fender twice in the automatic car washes. I won't go through them anymore.

Have you seen the guy and the screen door video? That is what I would do with my fender if it was ripped off at a car wash. In epic form. Jail time? Maybe, but i'd get my money's worth. Good looking pup.
