A little back and forth is healthy for uneducated minds. The majority of people on here aren't sure what the (R+M)/2 is let alone understand what a BTU is and how to use it in a calculation. I can appreciate that you do. Less octane has the potential to make less power because of ECU mapping due to preignition.
