Hey guys I’m currently working on installing heater pads in my rear seats. We’ll I’m just running the wiring and than take my seats to an upholstery shop whole will actually install the heaters under the leather!

Wiring is not my forte so my question is can I tap in to the wiring of the center console power outlet or should I choose something different? If power outlet which wires do I go for? I need Power, Ground and Accessory

Can anyone shed some wiring light on me?

That's super clean, what brand, is it a novice project, I read that your taking it to an upholstery shop. But, is it something that could be easier on cloth seats? Also, how much did they cost if you don't mind me asking.

Amazon purchase and $200 for install of the heaters once I take the seats to the shop.

@tatarin

I'm gathering that you have heated front seats from the factory right?

And, you do not have the Aux switches?
--------------

I probably would not power heated R seats from the 12v center console.. Personal preference and no more..

What is amp draw of your R heaters?

One way, of a few ways...

For 12v power, I'd probably fuse tap either F57 Frt Drvr Htd Seat 20 Amp Yellow Micro or F58 Frt Pass Htd Seat 20 Amp Yellow Micro . Will be quite easy to get the power wire from the rear seat area up to the driver's side where you will easily pass the wire through the grommet that covers the hole where your clutch would go through if you had a manual shift JL. Once through the firewall, the Main battery is say 3'+ away.

Another way:

Depending on whether you want on with ignition or always on , you can get the appropriate harness (depends on which you want to do) and use that harness in conjunction with the 12v cigarette lighter outlet. Easy access and no having to fuse tap, go through firewall, etc..
Harness(s) I mentioned can run $30+-.

And another way ... 12v receptable in the cargo area. That can be ignition switched or always on with the simple move of a fuse in the PDC.

I did use the center console wiring. If I remember correctly I used the ground and power from the wiring harness of the ac power adapter that’s back there. Super easy to access all the wires and run them under the carpet.

are you still happy with this kit? I like the buttons over the standard rockers that are sold with other seat heaters. Just an off brand so i worry about durability vs something like dorman
