I always thought you had to be smart and educated to have a lot of money. The more I see people in the world, the more I start to believe you just need to walk all over others and can be dumb as a box of rocks. That guy was a moron and has a $130k Jeep. Those portals are like $25k alone. I bet that dude is either the CEO of 5 failed companies and got millions of dollars in bonuses or the CEO of some company and craps all over his employees. Although, maybe this guy is the luckiest guy alive and just falls into good things, or in this case, doesn't fall into bad things.
I shouldn't say that, I don't know him. But, I'll make assumptions anyway on this one.
His spotter kind of sucked too though. Not once did he tell him to take it easy, this is rock crawling not baja racing. I had a guy in a Tacoma with us on a trail and EVERY obstacle I told him, "SLOW! If you don't go slow you're going to break something on your brand new truck." Guess who ran into a tree and broke his bumper?

Throttle control. It's a 392, it's either 0% or 100%. No in between. I chuckled when the spotter shakes his head near the end, when driver gunned it and front tire went into that large boulder. Spotter was think, "This is over and this dude is onto the next part, ah f".

I'm sure they are counting all the aftermarkets. Portals, 40's, beadlocks, armor, insurance policies (life and vehicle), food/lodging for the weekend, etc. Almost sounds like a VISA commercial, $, $, priceless.

have yet to rockclimb in a vehicle. and i'm not at all interested. what am i missing? if it's the comradery and being outdoors i can understand the draw, but just driving on rocks, eh...
