XR tire pressure

just bought a 22 "beach" aka high tide. i noticed the tire pressure is at 47/48psi on all tires and spare. sticker on driver door says 37psi. dealer has nitrogen in them. im assuming that 47/48psi is wrong. tire says 45psi max. just want to make sure my math is adding up and im not missing something.

Go with the pressures listed on the door jamb. Also check the lug nut torque. Almost every new car I’ve purchased has had over-inflated tires and loose lug nuts.

That’s way too high for the tires on XR package. I dropped mine down to 32lbs.

Whats on the door is a good start. Mine rides best at 32 Also.

figured. thanks, lowered them down to door spec. ill try lowering down after couple tanks of gas want to have a good base line for driving it prior to messing with things.

it a noticeable difference going down to 37 lol.

I dropped mine to 37 as well. It was better ride obviously. I dropped down to 33 or 34 but didn’t think my mpgs were very good (I know it’s a Jeep but it was not as good as at 37). I didn't think the ride was much different between 37 and 33. So I keep it at the door jamb recs.

Also, I use a digital Jaco gauge and check it with a stick gauge earlier today. They were pretty much the same. I like the digital Jaco one because I hook it up to my air compressor and get it where I want i. It's been since I got the XR in October 21.
