I just bought a 2024 Wrangler 4xe and am thinking of adding either Mopar molded side steps or Mopar tubular side steps. Any advice or other recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks

Just curious: Is your goal to use this mod solely as a step to get into the JP, as a rock rail to protect the body while off-road or both?

Just easy of entry

KK. I am afraid I will be of no help. I chose mine specifically for strength AND to be as high-riding and tucked as close to the body as I could find. They can function as a step but there is no way to "comfortably" use it as a step.

The stock Sahara steps are pretty decent and take a surprisingly huge beating.

Congrats on the purchase! Have you taken 1 minute to search the forums? LOTS of threads already with that topic.

Agreed. @JWJay for ease of entry, the stock steps or Mopar tubular ones are really nice. My wife's JLU has the standard ones, and I bought the tubular for my 2-door. We like them both. I'd recommend searching FB Marketplace or this forum to score a good deal on a pair of takeoffs.

I have a set of these on both my 392 and wife’s. Offers plenty of clearance and wide enough to keep rocks from slinging up the side. They are the GoRhino D1 dominators. had them on our 24 4xe.

I like the tubular steps. They work well, look good, and mostly protect from rocks coming up from the front tires. They keep other people's doors from banging on your paint, mine have collected several stripes of all different colors over the years.

I just purchased a Willys with the recon package and it came with rock rails. I just wanted the wheels because they look cool and don't really do any off roading. It is higher than I thought so I removed the rock rails and purchased the Mopar steps. I'm happy with the purchase. They're strong and look great. They're the cheaper ones for around $700. If you want the heavier duty solid ones for off roading, you're looking at well over $1K...

I needed steps to help short girlfriends get into the Jeep, to look better than bare pinch welds, and to allow me to access the roof rack.

I bought these Tyger steps for $300. I had similar Tyger steps on my 4Runner and Tundra and they are decent quality at the price point and hold up well to Idaho winters and gravel.

However, at 6'2", they mostly get in the way for now. Hopefully once the lift and 35's are on, I can use them effectively.

I added the N-Fab steps as well, and I'm very pleased.
