Is there any way that I can buy something to charge my iPhone without plugging it in

You can buy phone holders/mounts that double as wireless chargers. Have one in my wife's i3, motorized opening/closing by proximity, charges and holds the phone solid. I will be picking one up when my JL arrives and I figure out where and what kind of attachment.

BulletPoint also has a wireless charger. Only problem with it is it seems to charge a little slow IMO.

I took a bulletproof mount arm with a RAM mount MagSafe charger holder and used the Apple MagSafe charger on my dash. Wired it into a 12v lighter behind the glovebox into the aux switches. You could also do the same thing with one of those add-on 12v plug wires if you don’t have the aux switch wiring

Nice job, does it fall off on the trails?
I haven’t gone on any trails since I installed it. Roads are no issue though. I paired it all with the Ottocast wireless CarPlay so I still have CarPlay and fast charging. works great.

Too bad CarPlay required a USB connection on vehicles that don’t support wireless CarPlay, like mine. #sigh

What year do you have? If your radio supports WIRED CarPlay, wireless through a third party adapter should work fine. I had issues with the Carplay2Air but my new Ottocast (both should be available on Amazon) works great

I got one of these to go with my bulletproof mount. Got the right-sized ball mount from Bullet proof and attached this to it, I ran the cable to the 12v adapter. Works really well. I ended up getting more for my other cars.

Have to have to MagSafe mount system on your phone or case of course. It holds really well, I can't say I ran through a bunch of trails yet, but going 70+MPH and hitting bumps on the highway haven't dislodged it.

I do have a regular "compression" mount from Bulletproof on the other arm, so if it were to fall off, I could just stick it in there
