I turn on my Bluetooth and get in and my android auto pairs up. When he get out of my jeep I go inside and turn off the Bluetooth on my phone. Pretty simple 👌
I guess if you don't use Bluetooth for anything else (which is kinda strange), but the whole idea (to me at least) is to automatically connect whenever you get in the Jeep. Yours requires connecting and disconnecting.

Note that I have an MA1 stuffed in a drawer. AAWireless works so much better, especially since it gets updated relatively frequently.

AAWireless has a setting to make that go away.
Can you point me in the right direction? I've tried programming shortcuts to overcome this issue but they have not been effective. My Bluetooth either catches the adapter or the Jeep and wake up.

It also blocks me from my airpods when in the house.

Plus I get the AA blink on the phone every few seconds if I'm in the house but left my adapter plugged in worth the jeep in the garage

The center console USB port and the AA dongle do not display the AA icon on the Uconnect, only the dash and rear console USB ports display the AA on the Uconnect as mentioned. In the house neither the Uconnect nor the AA dongle show connected to my Samsung, but AA fires up on the Uconnect soon as I start my Rubicon.

I'm apparently using the legacy approach.

Sorry to dig up an old thread. I've searched here and google for answers.
Is there a united consensus as of 6/9/2025 which is the most consistent/trouble free Android Auto compatible device and location in which to plug it in? 2021 JL Rubicon if it matters. Thanks!!

For those who want a little more, I posted about my Android AI Box here, that will connect wirelessly and allows me to watch video and streaming content right from uConnect when not using Car Play. Never had an issue with reconnecting and it goes to sleep after some time.
