I was finally able to track down the annoying wind noise on my 2022 Willys 2 door. I thought it was the triangle piece next to the mirror, so I pried it off (gently) then added some silicone and attached it back to the door. Went for a test drive and the wind noise was still there. I then took it off completely to make sure that was the problem, which it turns out it was not. As I was driving with the piece off the car, I put my hand on the top corner of the mirror and the wind noise went away. It was the mirror all along. I put a piece of tape, on the inside next to the door, where the mirror comes together to test my theory and I was right. The gap where the mirror pieces come together was causing the noise. I know a lot of people are trying different things to mitigate this annoying noise, but try the mirror. In my case, that was the culprit!

So you had an air leak/wind noise coming from where the mirror mounts to the door? Or where the front cap on the side mirror and the mirror body attach?

It was the actual mirror itself where the two halves come together. Here is a picture of the temporary fix. I just drove around for 20 minutes and it was finally quiet!

Where were you hearing it in the jeep? I've been chasing a wind/air leak noise at the top of the drivers door and never considered it might be the mirror..

It was coming from the exact spot, but I never considered the mirror either until I put my hand on it while driving. It was a constant whistle when I hit about 25 mph.

HAHA!! That would work!!
honestly I’d use black silicone or black duct tape and just run it like that.

btw I have a similar air/wind noise in that same area and I’ll be doing what you did to see if that helps. Thanks for the post.
