I lowered my windshield just for fun the other day and now I have a terrible wind noise coming from the upper driver side. It was not there before, any tricks to getting it to reseal better? Start with the inboard bolts, or outboard? Soft top was down and doors were open when reinstalling the bolts.

I would lower it back down and make sure none of the seals got out of place and then just bolt it back up and see if the issue continues. When you say the soft top was up, you mean down? If the soft top was up you likely just need to pop the top off the windshield seal and re-seat it.

Ha, it was physically vertical just to put the bolts in so I wrote up but yes it was in the down position. I'll try cleaning the seals and redoing it again tonight.

The plastic gutters above the front doors for the soft top need to be removed before lowering the windshield. If you didn't remove them, and pushed the windshield forward, the seals in the upper front corner where the door, windshield, and top meet will not go back together properly when the windshield is raised. If you tightened the windshield good, the seals may have gotten damaged as they got pressed down on top of the rain gutter instead of being under it.

What he said ^
I damaged my seals putting the windshield back up without removing the soft top gutters first. The rubber trim that meets the windshields corner has a metal plate inside it too that may need to be reformed. I did notice some extra whistling until i corrected it
