The real pisser: you patiently wait for almost 3 months after the Willys drop. Order banks open, and you realize it’s not exactly what you hoped it would be. Bummer. But ok you elect to spend more to get what you want, along with some options you don’t need. That’s not uncommon. But to then jerk the rug out from a buyer willing to buy up, after they order? Weak.

Yet again they could have released all of the willys 392 ordering information up front and not have a bunch of frustrated potential jeep customers. I was pissed waiting months just to be disappointed with no SOT.. yet they continue keeping people in the dark by misleading them with bs ordering timelines.

Oh I understand

Yet

You never know what the future might bring.
Is the MOAB even still an ordering option ?
My somewhat local dealer said orders were open for 2026 Moab yesterday and they are a forum sponsor with a nice discount. I never placed the order, but am considering it. Still think I may get a 2027 Willy’s 392 with SOT, or even better, a Wrangler Sport 392 as another 12 for 12 drop. There are 1000’s of reasons to wait — especially when there are like 600+ Moab 392 sitting on lots at the moment.

This is exactly why now I’ll wait for a Wrangler Sport 392 as another 12 drop. I’ve waited this long, and if Jeep doesn’t want my money, so be it. And fwiw, I think the 12 drops are quickly becoming the worst vehicle marketing scheme ever.

Well, you know what the price is, the discount is, and what you are getting with the MOAB now. The SOT only $1K is a bit of price pain relief over the Willys IF they ever offer it. All subject to change. Also, CARB state resident ? Remember they struggled to get the 26 approved even though the 25 was approved. Similar with 21’s and 22’s with ever more strict regulations. This is one of the reasons I didn’t reorder when the XR was announced and mine was in build (August after a 4 month wait) and too late to add it. Also the first price increase since ordering. Had I reordered and it rolled over to a 22 I would have gotten the price increase, the “Additional California Emissions Equipment” and it’s price increase that was $8-900 extra as a 22 non carb state option. The exit honks, and I think another nannie like maybe the metal sticking down from the frame.
A bird in the hand…… ?

Interesting - and they also updated the builder to reflect all the colors and option for painted fenders. And ironically, it appears they closed down 2026 Moab orders.
This does not make sense to me either. I noticed last night that the website builder finally has Joose included as a color choice but now they shut down Moab orders directly after they completed the builder. Make it make sense!

When I contacted the dealer on Monday, they said Firecracker Red was no longer available, but Earl gray was. So if they shut down 2026 Moab orders, Earl was available for 3 days? Thats insane. The builder changes have to be for 2027 models which I believe are coming sooner than some think. Stellantis needs money, oh well.

Guess we will see if anyone else attempts to get a MOAB before end of month.

They are sneaky.
Went up $300 to $1295.
Funny thing is they added this little note...
SOT_discount.webp
This was done a month or two ago iirc. Jeep is just so slow with updating the website.

Caddis, we've mind melded at some point in the past!
Dang, Wrangler Sport 392 with cloth seats for $59,999? I might just bite the bullet and give up the SOT for that!
