I dig'em, this is my fourth one in six years?
I've had about the same ratio of Jeeps per years as you have, but it spans 50 years for me. So, I've owned a few of them. They are what they are, a vehicle of compromises. It is built to work better off road than other production motor vehicles, and can still be driven on road.

A lot of people driving Jeeps probably should have bought something else, so they whine and complain incessantly, instead of just moving on.

It’s People that drive jeeps vs Jeep people…….The ones complaining, whining, bitchin, trading it in after a couple of months are people that drive jeeps…. Jeep people may bitch about something, but it’s while they’re turning a wrench to fix the problem…..✌

When one spends $50k plus on a very rudimentary vehicle and is immediately met with many frustrating problems, one tends to not enjoy that.

It should be obvious why there is so much complaining - the JL is so close to greatness, the only thing holding it back is the company that made it. That's frustrating.

On top of that, they have been larded up with passenger car amenities that have nothing to do with their original mission of off road capability.

This makes them overly complicated and more prone to problems.

Gotta keep all of those stupid dashboard ducks comfortable somehow.

Probably because we have forums with large numbers of enthusiastic owners. Less complaining on other brand forums due to less enthusiastic owners. After buy a white egg-shaped Honda CRV, just how overly excited can their owners be that they want to join a forum with others who enjoy a CVT that comes in white, silver or black only?

Should have spent less than that then.

Older people love to be outraged at something and the fact their utilitarian off road vehicle made by a notoriously questionable quality automaker has issues is just too much for them.
