Looking to buy take offs for my 2020 wrangler. Price about the same and I found these new take offs.

5x 285/70/17 KO2 on Rubicon wheels?
or
5x 255/75/17 Firestone Destination on Willys black wheels?

Which is the better tire to go with? A lot of highway driving. Thanks,

KO2s, coming rom a guy who has the Firestones.

The Firestone MT2s are great mud/rough terrain tires though.

Best option, KO2s on the black Willys wheels.

I had a set of Firestone M/Ts on my truck. Pretty damn loud. It felt like I was driving on tank treads when it rolled slowly. Stick with an A/T tire.

Neither! Nitto rt Trail or MT Baja Boss AT. Never buy an MT again!

those are very different tires that are best at different things.
that said, i don't know if there are any crappier tires on the road than those Firestones; couldn't wait to get rid of the set that came on my Willys.

but the Moab wheels that they came on might be my all-time fav wheels. had i not been going to beadlocks, i might have kept those forever.

i'd say, get the Moab wheels, and put better tires on them. you can chew up the Firestones in the meantime if you can stand them; but the wheels will last forever. you won't have to put up with those tires for long.

Best combination is the Willys Black Moab wheels with KO2s. Since that is not the choice you have - get the KO2 if you are > 80% highway driving

Thanks everyone we went with KO2s. We might try Toyo AT3 or Falken AT3W next. I think the rubicon Y spoke wheels are the same as the Willy’s wheels except the rubicon wheel is machined face?

On the road, KO2. Rock crawling, KO2. Mud Destination

I've shredded a set of Destinations crawling on rocks but they're great in the mud. Seems like the K02's hook up better on rock because they have more tread on the rock. I've never done any repeatable testing.

I have the Firestones on my 23 Willys and have no issue with them. Ride is good, noise is fine and I like the way they look. Get a little squirrely on wet roads but I adjust my driving accordingly when it’s wet. Lots of hate for these tires on this forum but my experience has been positive.

The correct order is:

Falken AT3W > KO2 > Destination MT

?
You're not wrong. I had AT3W on my old 4Runner, KO2s on my 3rd gen Tacoma, and I recently had Toyo AT3 on my newer 4Runner. Of them all the AT3W was the best (quiet, smooth, and had tons of grip on and offroad). The KO2 was the heaviest but toughest, sucked in rain on pavement though. The Toyo AT3 was similar to Falken AT3W but not as quiet or as smooth of a ride, they weighed less though so MPG was close to stock. I just never had the MT Firestone. I have Michellin Defender LTX on our JL now, and had them before on another truck and it's the best pavement tire you can buy, it's quiet, smooth riding, handles great in rain snow or dry and even mild offroad/gravel and lasts forever, but it looks ugly and isn't the best offroad.
