Hail damage can be a pretty easy fix. I wonder why the dealer isn’t fixing it since doing it in house would be cheaper than the discount they are offering?
I asked the dealer the same question. They said they had over 150 cars damaged in the storm, and they don’t have an in house body shop. Also, I took a better look at the pics they sent me. The ‘vent’ between the hood and the windshield has a golf-ball size hole in it from a hail stone. With the UAW strike making parts hard to get, I wonder if I would even be able to get that part.

You can always try calling to see if it is in stock.

Maybe you should post a link to this Rubi. I've tossed the idea around of trading the wife's diesel Rubi in on a 4xe. I could probably break even on the trade.?

In other words, shit or get off the pot, that 4xe probably isn't gonna last long if the deals that good.

I’d go 2 door manual if it was me. I also happen to live in Des Moines, so if you pass on your order let me know, sounds like something I’d want. As for off road trails, we really don’t have anything legal in this state, most of us (when I still had my JK) would travel down to SMORR to go wheelin for the weekend.

Here are the pics showing the most damage. Pic 2 shows PDR probably won't work. Hood replacement needed? I'm probably going to pass on both of the hail damaged Rubicons 4xe, so hopefully one of you can get a good deal? Suggestion - offer below what they are asking. Salesperson made it pretty clear they are open to offers.

If me and a true weekend toy I'd go for the Willys 2dr 6psd. Just seems more fun and plenty capable with that rear locker. My 4dr with lsd rear has had no problem on any moderate trail I've been on. Now if more of a daily driver, then yeah, the Rubi probably makes more sense since you can plug in and will give you extra interior space.

Maybe the only thing holding me back would be the timeframe... who knows when they'll start shipping manuals again? Seems like there's a significant backorder on them.

OMG! Both of those Jeep`s are trashed beyond repair and to get $16k or more off is a down right offensive too. I Just wish I was in the market for a new ride because where else would you find a deal like this? Even if you had to replace the hood the one thing that would most likely blow your socks off would be the price of the decals. I wonder what they would be worth on a trade in?

It's probably one of the few times that a Jeep is priced realistically

Seriously I hope that the forum members who are looking for a great deal get one of these. It is a lot of Jeep for the price

I have a White 2024 2D Willys MT on order. I got a great deal from Granger motors (6% under invoice) - but who know when I will actually get it??
A different local dealer has a Sarge Green 2023 JLU Rubicon 4xe in stock that has hail damage. I have seen the pictures. The soft top was not damaged, and there are 4-5 hail dents on the hood. The widow sticker is $65,960, and the dealer has it discounted to $48,995. Less the $3,750 tax rebate, the end price would be $45,245. Just about $3,000 more than the 2024 2D Willys MT I have on order.
Either vehicle will be a weekend fun toy. I already have a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland as my daily driver.
I REALLY like the look of the Willys I have on order, but I am finding myself having a hard time passing up the 4xe at such a good price (or IS it a good price??).
I already have a level 2 charger in my garage for my wife's PHEV, so that is a plus.
Thoughts? What would YOU do in this situation??
Personally I would stay away from 4xe. I had one. Good chance of problems

The one with the highest MSRP is the cheapest (I think the sarge green on). Must have some additional damage that you can see. What's the hard top look like? Plus, a $60k Jeep with cloth seats! WTF? Prices are ridiculous ?. Glad I ordered mine in 2022.

I don’t think that is correct. One with MSPR of $65,960 is on sale for $48,995. One with MSPR of $68,510 is on sale for $50,995.

If you end up buying the hail damaged 4xe, we do have an aftermarket fiberglass hood that is fully functional:

Also the strike is temporary. If parts are on back order now, they will become available soon and that cowl piece being dented wont affect anything....as long as you can keep your eyes off of it
