I’d want an ‘03 2-door soft top TJ. I had one till May of 23. Too much rust in the under carriage.

Ordered April of 21, the XR pkg available ~August when it was in build. Fear of having a reorder roll over to a 22 with “Additional California Emissions Equipment” plus a price increase kept me from reordering. Would have saved me some money XR’ing mine, and almost three years of searching for a remedy for it’s flaw- no MDS disable, that XR’s at least do in OR+. Z automotive recently supplied the remedy. Hallelujah !

Any year of the CJ-3B, hands down. Best overall driving and ownership experience. Super capable off-road machine, reliable, simply designed, and easy to work on with no electronic witchcraft or complicated emissions crap. Oh...and no plastic either!

I looked at them for quite a while before I decided on the '18; most were too rusty for the prices people were asking.

In contemporary MY context I figure a few years in after a major change (JK->JL) gives them a chance to work out the kinks... my '21 JLU has been very reliable. That said, if I had the garage space I'd also have an old CJ and YJ.

For everyday use, the JL wins. But if I kept a 2nd Jeep around, it would be about an '06 Wrangler Unlimited (LJ). 4.0 and 6-speed

Love my '23 Rubi XR. Had a '05 Lj and the fun factor was great. Wish I still had the Lj as a second Jeep
